Campgrounds and RV parks near Lake Providence, LA

Lake Providence sits in East Carroll Parish in the northeast corner of Louisiana, along a Mississippi River oxbow lake in the Delta region. The town is a practical base for RV travelers exploring Poverty Point World Heritage Site, the Bayou Macon, and the wider Mississippi Flyway. Terrain is flat, elevations run low, and roads throughout the parish accommodate larger rigs. Campground options split between state parks and small commercial RV parks. Poverty Point Reservoir State Park, about 30 miles south near Delhi, is the primary full-service option, with paved sites, full hookups, waterfront cabins built on stilts over the reservoir, and lodges on the south shore. Leroy Percy State Park, roughly 40 miles east across the Mississippi River near Hollandale, adds another developed campground with hookups, cabins, and an adjoining wildlife management area. Closer to town and along nearby highway corridors, Delhi RV Park, Pecan Grove RV Park, and Ameristar RV Park serve travelers who want simpler overnight stops with utilities and easy interstate access.
