Campgrounds and RV parks near Gladstone, MI

Gladstone sits on the Little Bay de Noc in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, at the meeting point of US-2, US-41, and M-35. The town is a practical base for RV travelers exploring Delta County, the Hiawatha National Forest, and the Lake Michigan shoreline. Escanaba lies just to the south, giving quick access to groceries, fuel, dump stations, and propane. Pioneer Trail Park & Campground is a 74-acre Delta County park fronted by US-2/41/M-35 and set along the Escanaba River. The campground offers electric and water sites, full-hookup sites with sewer, rustic cabins along the river, a modern bathhouse with showers and laundry, and two dump stations. Additional options in the surrounding area include Vagabond Resort and Campground, Whispering Valley RV Park, Boney Falls Basin operated by UPPCO, and Bark River International Raceway Campground for event weekends. Most parks in this corridor are seasonal, with the majority of full-service RV sites open from spring through mid-fall. Rustic and utility-operated sites tend to have fewer amenities and shorter operating seasons.

Pioneer Trail Park & Campground is at 6822 US Highway 2-41 & M-35 in Gladstone and takes online reservations through Campspot, with the park itself operated by Delta County Parks. Private parks such as Vagabond Resort and Campground and Whispering Valley RV Park handle their own reservations by phone or through their own websites. Boney Falls Basin is a UPPCO-managed utility site with limited services and typically first-come, first-served arrangements.
