Quincy camping overview
Quincy sits in Branch County along U.S. Route 12 in south-central Michigan, within a network of connected inland lakes that shape most of the region's RV camping. Marble Lake, a major feature of southern Quincy Township, forms the northernmost lake in a chain that continues south through Middle, Archer, Bartholomew, and other lakes. That water access shapes most of the RV camping in the area, with private resorts clustered on the lakes rather than on a single large federal or state campground.
Within a short drive of Quincy, RV travelers can choose from several private lakeside parks. Sunset Cove Resort sits on Marble Lake, Marble Springs Campground occupies a wooded property with ponds and springs, and Harbor Cove RV Resort is a newer RV-exclusive park on the Coldwater chain. Waffle Farm Campgrounds anchors the north chain on Craig and Morrison Lakes, and Lighthouse Village Membership RV Resort operates as a private membership association to the northeast.
Coldwater, the county seat just west of Quincy, sits on I-69 between Fort Wayne and Lansing and is built around the Coldwater Chain of Lakes. That location makes Quincy a practical base for boaters, anglers, and families traveling between Chicago, Detroit, and northern Indiana.
Things to do near Quincy
Water recreation defines the area. The lakes north of town form the Randall-Morrison Chain, seven connected lakes totaling more than 1,074 acres and noted in southern Michigan for their fishing. Anglers target bluegill, crappie, perch, largemouth bass, and northern pike in these waters. Boat launches at Sunset Cove Resort, Harbor Cove RV Resort, and Waffle Farm Campgrounds give direct access for pontoons, kayaks, and fishing boats.
On land, Marble Springs Campground provides walkable acreage with ponds, springs, and mature trees for shaded walks. Families also use the beaches, playgrounds, and camp stores at the private resorts, along with day trips into Coldwater for restaurants, shops, and the historic Tibbits Opera House.

How to book campgrounds near Quincy
Most parks around Quincy are privately owned and take reservations directly. Waffle Farm Campgrounds uses an online reservation system with a site map, and calling the campground office remains the most reliable way to secure a specific waterfront site. Harbor Cove RV Resort, Sunset Cove Resort, and Marble Springs Campground also book direct through their own websites or offices rather than through a state or federal portal.
The county-operated Quincy-Marble Lake Park is administered by the Branch County Park System. The facility primarily serves seasonal campers, with limited sites available for nightly reservations, so nightly RV travelers should confirm availability with the park office before planning around it.
Lighthouse Village Membership RV Resort operates on a different model. It is a private membership association, so non-members should verify guest access policies before arriving.
What to expect at Quincy-area campgrounds
Expect a mix of full-hookup RV sites and long-standing seasonal communities. Waffle Farm Campgrounds offers around 225 sites with a mix of primitive, RV-friendly, and waterfront locations, available nightly, weekly, or by the season, with 30-amp and 50-amp full-hookup service and pull-through options for larger rigs. Harbor Cove RV Resort is designed exclusively for RVs, with full-hookup sites, fire rings, picnic tables, and 50-amp service.
Sites near the water often sit close together, especially in peak season, and many parks include a large share of seasonal campers on personalized lots. Camp stores, boat rentals, playgrounds, and beaches are standard at the larger resorts. Cell coverage is generally reliable in the Coldwater area, and Wi-Fi is offered at most private resorts, though signal strength near the waterfront can vary.
