Camping near Reese, Michigan
Reese is a small village in Tuscola County in Michigan's Thumb region, about fifteen minutes east of Saginaw and roughly the same distance north of Frankenmuth. RV travelers use it as a quiet base for exploring mid-Michigan farmland, the Cass and Saginaw river corridors, and the Bavarian-themed shops and restaurants of Frankenmuth.
Campground options in the immediate area lean private and family-oriented. Frankenmuth Jellystone Park Camp Resort sits at 1339 Weiss St in Frankenmuth and is positioned as the only full-service camp-resort in town, with a large activity calendar aimed at kids. Wesleyan Woods Campground, Finn Road Park, Pine Ridge RV Campground, and Ber-wa-ga-na Campgrounds round out the closest options, ranging from full-hookup private parks to simpler county and community sites.
Public land is a short drive away. A Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into all Michigan state park and state forest campgrounds, which is worth factoring in before day-tripping to nearby state recreation areas.
Things to do around Reese
Frankenmuth is the main draw. Bronner's Christmas Wonderland, the Bavarian Inn, River Place Shops, and the walkable downtown are all within a short drive, and families staying at Frankenmuth Jellystone Park Camp Resort often build a trip around them.
