Campgrounds and RV parks near Bay St. Louis, MS

Bay St. Louis sits on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in Hancock County, roughly an hour east of New Orleans and a short drive from Gulfport and Biloxi. The area draws RV travelers with warm-water beaches, a walkable historic Old Town, casino resorts, and easy access to state park camping. Coastal Highway 90 links most of the region's campgrounds, marinas, and attractions. RV options range from resort-style parks with pools and full hookups to state park sites tucked under moss-draped oaks. Hollywood Casino RV Park and Bay Marina RV Park cluster close to the water and downtown, while Pass Christian RV Park sits a short drive east along the coast. Rickey Levy Memorial Harbor Park provides waterfront overnight parking beside the small craft harbor in neighboring Pass Christian. Buccaneer State Park in adjacent Waveland is the largest camping destination in the area, with beachfront sites and a waterpark. The park was rebuilt after Hurricane Katrina and remains the anchor public campground for the western Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Buccaneer State Park reservations are handled through the Mississippi State Parks reservation system operated by the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks. Sites can be booked online or by phone, and premium full-hookup sites in the main loops sell out first for summer weekends and spring break. The 70 Gulf View water-and-electric sites are walk-in only through the park office. Private parks in the area, including Hollywood Casino RV Park, Bay Marina RV Park, and Pass Christian RV Park, take reservations directly by phone or through their websites. Casino-affiliated parks often prioritize loyalty program members and can fill on concert and event weekends. Rickey Levy Memorial Harbor Park, located at the Pass Christian harbor, is managed by the City of Pass Christian harbor office. Confirm rig-length limits, hookup type, and check-in windows before arrival, since coastal sites vary widely in what they can accommodate.
