Campgrounds and RV parks near Belzoni, MS

Belzoni sits in Humphreys County in the Mississippi Delta region, on the Yazoo River, roughly halfway between Greenville and Jackson along US Highway 49. The town is flat, agricultural, and named the Farm-Raised Catfish Capital of the World in 1976, because more farm-raised catfish are produced here than anywhere else in the U.S. That shapes what RV travelers find when they arrive: quiet crossroads, working farmland, cypress sloughs, and bayou country rather than mountains or forests. RV options within a short drive include Leroy Percy State Park, the oldest state park in Mississippi, plus small private parks like Delta Mobile Home and RV Park and Movietown RV Park and Mini Storage closer to town. For travelers willing to drive an hour or so east, Holmes County State Park and Mississippi Petrified Forest Campground extend the range of options, with full-hookup RV sites and tent sites in a wooded setting. Most trips through the area combine catfish country, Delta blues stops, and lakeside state park stays.

Mississippi state parks use a centralized reservation system operated by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks, accessible through the state parks website. Leroy Percy State Park and Holmes County State Park both take reservations through this system, with a portion of sites held for first-come, first-served arrivals. A short minimum lead time typically applies, and the booking window opens well in advance, so travelers should check the current window on the state parks site before planning. Private campgrounds near Belzoni, including Delta Mobile Home and RV Park, Movietown RV Park and Mini Storage, and Mississippi Petrified Forest Campground, are typically booked by phone or through the campground's own website. Weekends during spring fishing tournaments and fall hunting seasons book earliest.
