Campgrounds and RV parks near Lyman, MS

Lyman is a small unincorporated community in Harrison County, Mississippi, sitting just north of Gulfport along the US 49 corridor. The area works as a practical base for RV travelers because it offers quick access to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, known for white sand beaches and casinos, while keeping campers a short drive from the quieter pine woodlands of De Soto National Forest to the north. Most nearby options are private RV parks. Gulfport KOA sits along US 49 with pull-through and back-in sites plus cabins, and Bayberry RV Park, Campgrounds Of The South, Woodland Farm RV Campground, and Magic River Resort round out the closest choices. Gulfport-area RV parks are concentrated along the water and I-10, which makes Lyman a convenient inland staging point away from beach traffic. For a public-land alternative, Big Biloxi Recreation Area is a US Forest Service campground about 12 miles north of Gulfport on the banks of the Big Biloxi River inside De Soto National Forest. Travelers should check its current status before arrival, as the site has been subject to temporary closures.
