Campgrounds and RV parks near Meridian Station, MS

Meridian sits in east-central Mississippi at the junction of Interstates 20 and 59, giving RV travellers straightforward access to a compact ring of parks within roughly a half-hour drive of downtown. The surrounding Lauderdale County landscape is dominated by piney woods, rolling hills, and two significant water bodies: Okatibbee Lake north of town, part of a larger Corps of Engineers project, and the Chunky River corridor to the south. Campground styles vary widely. Benchmark RV Park and Hill Country Community serve travellers who want simple, full-hookup sites close to town, while Meridian East / Toomsuba KOA Journey offers a more amenity-driven stop just off I-20/59 east of the city. It sits among tall pines with RV sites, cabins, and modern amenities in a wooded setting. For water-based trips, Okatibbee Water Park anchors the north side of the county on the reservoir, and Dunns Falls Water Park Pat Harrison Waterway District sits to the south along the Chunky River, both operated by the Pat Harrison Waterway District.

Private parks use standard online booking. Meridian East / Toomsuba KOA Journey reserves through koa.com, and KOA Rewards members receive a discount at checkout. Benchmark RV Park and Hill Country Community typically take reservations by phone or through third-party listings, so calling ahead is the most reliable route. Pat Harrison Waterway District parks, including Okatibbee Water Park and Dunns Falls Water Park Pat Harrison Waterway District, handle bookings through the district. Reservations of two, three, or four nights can be booked up to three months in advance, with full payment due within 14 days. Reservations of five or more nights can be booked up to one year out with a three-night deposit. Cabin, motel, and shelter reservations must be made by someone 21 or older who is present during occupation, and pets are not permitted.
