Campgrounds and RV parks near New Hamilton, MS

New Hamilton sits in Monroe County in northeast Mississippi along the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway, roughly a half hour south of Tupelo. The area places RV travelers within reach of a state park, several private RV parks, and waterway-adjacent sites. Options closest to town lean toward small, full-hookup private parks, while the waterway and a nearby state park add public options with boat access and lake fishing. Pine Acres RV Park and Hidden Cove Campground RV Park are among the nearest private grounds, followed by Parkwood RV Park and Mill Creek RV Park. Smithville Marina Campground is the closest waterway option, located on the Tenn-Tom Waterway just north of Amory in the small town of Smithville, and it sits directly on the water with marina access for boaters. For a state-park base, Tombigbee State Park is located six miles south of Tupelo and features a loop of 20 paved sites that are available for RV or tent camping, with all sites equipped with electricity and water hookups, eighteen of which are also equipped with sewer. The mix of private, waterway, and state-park grounds gives families flexibility on hookup level and proximity to fishing or shopping.

Private grounds such as Pine Acres RV Park, Hidden Cove Campground RV Park, Parkwood RV Park, Mill Creek RV Park, and Smithville Marina Campground are typically booked by phone or through each operator's own website. For waterway boat access, plan ahead: all visitors using the boat ramp must possess a valid day use pass, and should be prepared to show a hard copy pass or digital pass on a mobile device. For a state-park stay, Tombigbee State Park is reserved through the Mississippi State Parks reservation system. Reservations are strongly recommended and may be made up to 12 months in advance. Holiday weekends and spring fishing dates book earliest, so lock in dates as soon as the window opens.
