Campgrounds and RV parks near Murfreesboro, TN

Stones River National Battlefield sits three miles northwest of downtown and preserves the site of a major Civil War engagement fought at the turn of 1862 to 1863. The park has a visitor center, museum, driving tour, walking trails, and Stones River National Cemetery, where more than 6,100 Union soldiers are buried, 2,562 of them unknown. Much of Fortress Rosecrans, a major Union logistics base, is preserved inside town.
