Campgrounds near Rolling Fork
Rolling Fork sits in Sharkey County in the Mississippi Delta, roughly an hour north of Vicksburg on U.S. Highway 61. The surrounding flatland is agricultural, and most RV camping options are clustered around Delta state parks, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reservoirs, and the Vicksburg corridor to the south. Leroy Percy State Park, located five miles west of Hollandale off Mississippi Highway 12, offers 16 standard campsites, a wooded tent area, vacation cabins, and laundry facilities, and it is the closest developed state park to Rolling Fork.
Leroy Percy is the oldest of Mississippi's state parks and is characterized by artesian springs, cypress trees, and ancient oaks draped in Spanish moss. To the south, Vicksburg Battlefield Campground and Pecan Grove RV Park serve travelers visiting Vicksburg National Military Park, and Clear Creek Campground provides another option in the Vicksburg area.
Across the Mississippi River in Arkansas, Lake Chicot State Park sits on Lake Chicot, the largest natural lake in Arkansas and the largest oxbow lake in North America, and is a reasonable drive from Rolling Fork for travelers combining Delta destinations.
Things to do near Rolling Fork
Fishing, birding, and paddling dominate the local outdoor calendar. Alligator Lake at Leroy Percy State Park is stocked with bream, catfish, and bass, and the Alligator Lake Trail winds along the shoreline through delta hardwood forest habitat. The park also offers a disc golf course, picnic pavilions, a playground, a boat launch, and seasonal hunting inside its wildlife management area.
South of Rolling Fork, Vicksburg National Military Park preserves Civil War monuments, historic trenches and earthworks, a tour road, and the restored ironclad gunboat USS Cairo. Vicksburg Battlefield Campground sits close to the park entrance.
Across the river, Lake Chicot lies on the Mississippi Flyway, making the shoreline and campground trails strong choices for bird watching, with boat rentals, guided lake tours, and levee tours available in season.

Leroy Percy State Park is accessible year-round via paved roads and offers 16 pet-friendly campsites with electric and water hookups, plus restrooms, showers, and a dump station. The small campground sits next to Alligator Lake, with most sites receiving partial shade from mature trees, and it maintains low occupancy most of the year, so mid-week arrivals are usually straightforward.
