Its campground offers basic, electric, and sewer/electric/water sites suitable for tents, trailers, and RVs up to 45 feet. Private options cluster near Six Flags in Eureka and Pacific, including Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort: Six Flags, a related Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp Resort, and the St. Louis West / Historic Route 66 KOA Holiday. The St. Louis area has a continental climate, with cold winters and hot summers, with quite frequent thunderstorms. Peak camping demand runs from late spring through early fall, with holiday weekends and summer school breaks pulling the heaviest bookings at the family resorts near Six Flags.
Spring brings wildflowers and green-up but also the wettest months, with May typically the rainiest, with rain falling for close to twelve days and totaling roughly 120 mm. Summer highs commonly reach the upper 80s and 90s Fahrenheit, and humidity is a real factor for tent and small-rig campers. Fall is drier and cooler, and the forests around Babler and the Meramec valley turn color into late October, which coincides with Six Flags Fright Fest and Halloween-themed weekends at the Jellystone parks.
Winter is quieter. The Babler campground is open year-round, but showers are only available April 1 through October. In the off-season there is no water at individual sites, though two frost-free potable water spigots stay on and vault toilets remain open. Private parks scale back activities but often keep RV sites available for extended stays.

We had a great time renting this camper! Ray was awesome to work with. He went over everything with us when we picked it up and was always quick to respond if we had any questions. The camper was really clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. It was great to get away with the family annd enjoy some time together without having to worry about anything. We had an awesome weekend, made some great memories, and will definitely be renting from Ray again! Do yourself a favor and take your family camping for a few days too.
