Campgrounds and RV parks near Pray, MT

Pray sits along the Yellowstone River in the heart of Paradise Valley, roughly halfway between Livingston and the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park. The valley runs between the Absaroka Range to the east and the Gallatin Range to the west, with US Highway 89 as the main travel corridor for RVs heading toward Gardiner and Mammoth Hot Springs. The area functions as a quieter base camp for Yellowstone visitors who prefer riverfront sites and open valley views over the busier gateway town of Gardiner. Private RV parks along Highway 89 handle most of the demand, and the surrounding Custer Gallatin National Forest adds tent-friendly and small-rig options up the side drainages such as Mill Creek. Yellowstone's Edge RV Park sits in Paradise Valley on a top fly-fishing river, close to Livingston, Chico Hot Springs, and about 30 minutes from Gardiner and Yellowstone. The Livingston / Paradise Valley KOA Holiday also has Yellowstone River frontage. Osens RV Park and Campground and Livingston Campground work as convenient stops closer to town for travelers stocking up before heading south, while Yellowstone Hot Springs offers soaking access near Corwin Springs on the way to the park entrance.

Private parks near Pray, including Yellowstone's Edge RV Park and the Livingston / Paradise Valley KOA Holiday, take reservations directly through their own websites and reservation systems. For peak summer weekends, booking several months out is standard practice, and popular riverfront and pull-through sites go first. Osens RV Park and Campground, Livingston Campground, and Yellowstone Hot Springs also handle bookings through their own operator channels. For Custer Gallatin National Forest campgrounds up the side drainages, reservations are handled through Recreation.gov during the summer season, with a first-come, first-served pattern in the shoulder months. Yellowstone National Park's front-country campgrounds south of Gardiner are booked through Recreation.gov or the park's concessioner, depending on the site. Lock in the campground first, then plan Yellowstone day trips around it. Riverfront sites and pull-throughs long enough for larger rigs are the tightest inventory.
