Campgrounds and RV parks near South Coffeyville, OK

South Coffeyville sits on the Oklahoma-Kansas state line in Nowata County, giving RV travelers quick access to campgrounds on both sides of the border. The town itself is small, so most visitors base their trip out of nearby parks in Coffeyville, Kansas, just north across the line, or head south toward Bartlesville and the Oologah Lake area for larger campgrounds and lake recreation. Close-in options include Buckeye Estates & RV Park and Buckeye RV Park, both located in Coffeyville, Kansas only a few miles north of South Coffeyville. Buckeye RV Park sits at 502 N. Buckeye Street with 35 full-hookup sites offering 30 and 50 amp service. Farther south, Bell RV Village is a 101-site RV park off Highway 75 in Bartlesville, positioned for visits to area attractions such as Woolaroc and the Frank Lloyd Wright Price Tower. For a state-park experience, Prairie Meadow and Timber Road campgrounds sit inside Elk City State Park on the east shore of Elk City Reservoir, roughly five miles west of Independence, Kansas. The 857-acre park features oak and hickory woodlands, rolling prairie, and a limestone bluff known as Table Mound.

Reservation systems vary by operator. Elk City State Park sites at Prairie Meadow and Timber Road are booked through the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks reservation system, hosted on ReserveAmerica. Camping fees do not include the required Kansas State Park vehicle permit, which can be purchased on arrival or as an annual pass. For Oologah Lake and Copan Lake sites managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, reservations are handled through Recreation.gov, and peak-season sites should be booked as early as possible. Private parks including Buckeye Estates & RV Park, Buckeye RV Park, and Bell RV Village take direct bookings through their own websites or by phone, which is often the fastest option for last-minute stays.
