Campgrounds and RV parks near Union City, OK

Union City sits in Canadian County, roughly 25 miles southwest of Oklahoma City and just south of the historic Route 66 corridor through El Reno and Yukon. The town itself is small and rural, but its position off US-81 and near I-40 makes it a practical staging point for RV travelers moving between the Oklahoma City metro, the Chickasha area, and the western plains. RV options within a short drive include 66 Country RV Park and Old 66 RV Park, which reflect the Route 66 heritage of the surrounding communities. Hensleys RV Park at Best Western in El Reno offers hookup sites paired with hotel amenities, while Mustang Run RV Park and Council Road RV Park sit closer to the Oklahoma City suburbs and give easier access to metro attractions. Most parks in this corridor cater to travelers passing through on I-40, so pull-through sites, full hookups, and Wi-Fi are common. Longer stays are typically welcomed, and many locations offer weekly and monthly rates on request.

Private parks in the Union City and El Reno area, including 66 Country RV Park, Old 66 RV Park, Hensleys RV Park at Best Western, Mustang Run RV Park, and Council Road RV Park, generally take reservations directly by phone or through their own websites. Booking two to four weeks ahead is usually enough outside of holidays and major Oklahoma City events. For public land, Oklahoma State Parks such as Roman Nose use the state's ReserveAmerica-powered system, which accepts individual campsite reservations up to eleven months in advance and does not offer first-come, first-served sites. Federal Corps of Engineers lakes in the wider region use Recreation.gov. Confirm site length, hookup amperage, and pet rules before arrival, since RV lengths and slide clearances vary widely between parks.
