Campgrounds and RV parks near Wickliffe, OK

Wickliffe sits in northeast Oklahoma between Pryor and the Grand Lake chain, putting RV travelers within easy reach of two Grand River Dam Authority reservoirs and several state park units. Lake Hudson, on the Grand (Neosho) River, offers 200 miles of shoreline and 12,000 surface acres, while Grand Lake O' The Cherokees to the north spans roughly 46,500 surface acres and 1,300 miles of shoreline. Private options on the south end include Lake Hudson RV Park and Lake Hudson Resort, both set along the lake with full-hookup RV sites. Public camping in the area is anchored by Spavinaw State Park on Spavinaw Lake and by the Cherokee Area of Grand Lake State Park, which includes the Riverside campground below Pensacola Dam. For visitors focused on Grand Lake proper, Thousand Oaks Resort and Riverside - Cherokee Area at Grand Lake State Park sit near the Disney and Langley end of the lake, close to the dam, marinas, and off-road recreation. The mix of state park loops and private resorts gives travelers flexibility on hookups, site size, and amenities.

Oklahoma State Parks handle bookings through a central reservation system on ReserveAmerica. Reservations can be made for today and up to 11 months in advance, and there are no first-come, first-served campsites at Oklahoma State Parks; all RV and tent sites must be reserved online. That applies to both Spavinaw State Park and the Cherokee Area at Grand Lake State Park, including the Riverside campground. For holiday weekends and prime spring or summer dates, booking as soon as the 11-month window opens is the safest approach; lakefront and full-hookup sites go first. Private parks such as Lake Hudson RV Park, Lake Hudson Resort, and Thousand Oaks Resort take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone, and often accept longer monthly stays outside of peak season.
