Campgrounds and RV parks near Cambridge Springs, PA

Cambridge Springs sits along French Creek in northern Crawford County, Pennsylvania, roughly halfway between Meadville and Erie on U.S. Route 6/19. The location puts RV travelers within easy reach of Lake Erie beaches to the north and the lakes and state parks of northwestern Pennsylvania to the south, making it a practical base for a longer regional trip. The closest full-service RV options include Meadville KOA Journey and Sparrow Pond Campground, both a short drive south. North toward the lakeshore, Erie KOA Holiday and West Haven at Lake Erie RV Park and Family Campground serve travelers heading to Presque Isle and the wineries of the Lake Erie shore. Folly's End Campground rounds out the local mix with a smaller, family-run feel. Most parks in this corridor offer 30- and 50-amp hookups, dump stations, and pull-through sites, and several include cabin rentals for mixed groups. Rural county roads connect the campgrounds, so rigs of most sizes can navigate the area without difficulty.

Private campgrounds in the area, including Meadville KOA Journey, Erie KOA Holiday, Sparrow Pond Campground, West Haven at Lake Erie RV Park and Family Campground, and Folly's End Campground, take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. KOA properties are also bookable through the KOA app and central reservation system. Booking eight to twelve weeks ahead is advisable for summer weekends near the lake. Pennsylvania state park campgrounds are reserved through the state's official reservation site, with a booking window that opens up to eleven months in advance at noon Eastern. Woodcock Creek Lake, operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers south of town, has kept its campground closed to overnight camping in recent seasons, though day-use areas remain open; check current status with the Corps before planning to camp there. For holiday weekends, book as early as the reservation window opens and confirm rig-length limits before arrival.
