Private campgrounds handle most overnight RV traffic in the immediate area. Moraine State Park, just to the east, centers on the 3,225-acre Lake Arthur.

Private campgrounds near New Beaver take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. Valley View Campground, Hotel RV Beaver, Rose Point Park Cabins and Camping, White Thorn Lodge Family Nudist Campground, and Breakneck Campground each handle their own bookings, and deposits are typical for peak weekends and holidays. Pennsylvania state park facilities use a separate system. Reservations must be made 3 days ahead of arrival and can be made up to 11 months in advance. Bookings run through the Pennsylvania state park reservation portal on ReserveAmerica. Note that McConnells Mill State Park does not offer a traditional campground within its boundaries, so overnight visitors typically use nearby private parks or the modern cabins at Moraine, which fill early for summer and holiday weekends.
