Campgrounds and RV parks near Penn State Erie, PA

Presque Isle State Park is the anchor attraction: a 3,200-acre sandy peninsula on Lake Erie with 11 miles of beach, multi-use trails for hiking, biking, and in-line skating, a marina, and boat launches. The Tom Ridge Environmental Center at the park entrance offers free exhibits on the peninsula's ecology and a 75-foot observation tower, and is a good first stop with kids. Beyond the park, families head to Waldameer Park and Water World next to the peninsula entrance, the Erie Bayfront and Bicentennial Tower downtown, and the paved bike path that connects Lampe Marina to the Bayfront District.
