For Pennsylvania state parks like Pymatuning, reservations go through the state's ReserveAmerica-based system or by calling 888-PA-PARKS. Most sites can be booked up to 11 months in advance, with a three-day minimum lead time, and demand is heavy for summer weekends and holidays. Woodcock Lake Park's day-use picnic shelters are reservable through Recreation.gov, the federal booking site used for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facilities. The campground at Woodcock has been closed to overnight use in recent seasons, so confirm current status with the Pittsburgh District office before planning to camp there. Private parks including Meadville KOA Journey, Camperland at Conneaut Lake Park, Miller Brothers Campground, Pineview Camplands, and Goddard Park Vacationland Campground are booked through each park's own website or phone line. Big-rig pull-throughs and full-hookup sites go first, so reserve early for July and August.
