Campgrounds and RV parks near Wylandville, PA

Wylandville is a small census-designated place in North Strabane Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, sitting along Pennsylvania Route 519 in the northern part of the county. The community lies in the rolling wooded hills of southwestern Pennsylvania, roughly a half-hour drive south of downtown Pittsburgh, making it a practical base for RV travelers who want quick access to urban attractions without staying inside the city. The surrounding area has a humid continental climate with warm summers, cold snowy winters, and precipitation spread fairly evenly through the year. That pattern shapes a camping season that peaks from late spring through early fall, with several private parks and one state park campground within an hour's drive. Close-in options include the Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA Journey off I-79 south of the city, along with Firehouse RV Campgrounds, Hotel RV West Alexander, Wallace Trailer Sales and Court, and Ernies Acres Campground. Together they cover full-hookup pull-throughs, simpler electric sites, and long-term stays for travelers passing through the Pittsburgh corridor.

Private campgrounds around Wylandville are booked directly with each property. Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA Journey takes reservations through the KOA website or by phone, with a full-stay deposit required at time of booking and a cancellation fee if plans change. Firehouse RV Campgrounds, Hotel RV West Alexander, Wallace Trailer Sales and Court, and Ernies Acres Campground each handle bookings directly, and calling ahead is the most reliable way to confirm rig-size limits and hookup type. For Pennsylvania state park campgrounds such as Ryerson Station, reservations are made online through the state parks reservation system or by calling 888-PA-PARKS. Sites can be reserved up to 11 months in advance, with a minimum three-day advance-booking window, and any unreserved sites are handled first-come, first-served at the campground.
