Campgrounds and RV parks near Adamsville, TN

Adamsville sits in McNairy County in southwestern Tennessee, roughly a dozen miles northwest of Shiloh National Military Park and about twenty miles from Pickwick Lake. RV travelers use it as a base for Civil War history, lake recreation on the Tennessee River, and the wooded rolling terrain of the Tennessee River Valley. Most camping options cluster to the south and southeast of town, along the Highway 22 and Highway 57 corridors leading toward the battlefield and Pickwick Dam. Nearby campgrounds within about ten to fifteen miles include Battlefield Campground, Green Acres RV Resort, Botel Campground, Pickwick Dam Campground, and Pickwick Landing State Park. Options range from full-hookup private RV parks to state-park sites with water and electric. Battlefield Campground sits just across the highway from Shiloh and is a primitive, tents-and-small-rigs option with a bathhouse but no hookups. Pickwick Landing State Park, on the shore of Pickwick Lake, offers a lakefront setting with boating, fishing, swimming, and trails, plus RV sites with water and electric.

State-park sites at Pickwick Landing are handled through the Tennessee State Parks reservation system. Campers can view all available nights up to 12 months ahead of any campsite, and weekend inventory in summer tends to fill months out. Prepayment is required at booking. Private parks such as Green Acres RV Resort, Botel Campground, and Battlefield Campground take reservations directly by phone or through their own websites. Pickwick Dam Campground, operated in the TVA dam area, is a small-site option with limited capacity, best booked by phone. Shiloh National Military Park does not operate a public campground of its own, so plan to stay at one of the surrounding private or state parks.
