Campgrounds and RV parks near Forest Heights, TX

Forest Heights is an unincorporated community and census designated place in northeastern Orange County, Texas, located immediately east of State Highway 87 about eight miles north of the city of Orange and part of the Beaumont-Port Arthur metropolitan area. The area sits in the Piney Woods region on flat coastal plain just west of the Sabine River and the Louisiana state line, which puts RV travelers within easy reach of both East Texas forests and Cajun-country attractions. Most RV parks used by visitors to Forest Heights cluster along the I-10 corridor between Orange, Texas and Vinton, Louisiana. Options include Orange Texas RV Resort and Reign RV Park on the Texas side, Vinton RV Park and Cajun Oasis RV Resort just across the state line, and Paradise RV Resort & Cabins for travelers who want cabin rentals mixed with RV sites. These parks function primarily as full-hookup base camps for exploring the Sabine River waterway, Big Thicket National Preserve, and Gulf Coast destinations such as Sea Rim State Park.

Private RV parks near Forest Heights, including Orange Texas RV Resort, Reign RV Park, Cajun Oasis RV Resort, Paradise RV Resort & Cabins, and Vinton RV Park, generally take reservations directly by phone or through their websites. For most private parks, two to four weeks ahead is typically enough lead time, and midweek openings are often available closer in. Texas state parks in the wider region, such as Village Creek State Park in Lumberton and Sea Rim State Park near Sabine Pass, use the Texas Parks and Wildlife reservation system, which opens overnight bookings up to five months in advance at 8 a.m. Central time. Spring weekends and holiday weekends fill first, so lock in the campground before booking an RV rental to match the dates.
