Campgrounds and RV parks near Solis, TX

Solis is a small census-designated place in western Cameron County, just west of the city of La Feria, about 10 miles west-southwest of Harlingen. The community sits along the U.S. Highway 83 / Interstate 2 corridor in the Lower Rio Grande Valley, a flat delta of farmland, resacas, and thorn-forest tracts that has long served as a winter base for RV travelers. RV options within a short drive include The Yellow Rose Mobile Home and RV Park, Kenwood RV Resort, VIP - La Feria RV Park, Breezewood Cove RV Park, and The Fig Tree RV Resort. Most function as full-hookup parks oriented toward long-stay Winter Texans, with amenities such as pools, recreation halls, and organized activities layered on top of standard nightly and weekly sites. The Rio Grande Valley stretches from the Gulf of Mexico at South Padre Island west toward Rio Grande City, linking communities including Brownsville, Harlingen, Weslaco, Donna, Alamo, Pharr, McAllen, Edinburg, and Mission, so a rig parked near Solis sits within an easy day-trip radius of beaches, border-town shopping, wildlife refuges, and state parks.

Private RV parks in the Solis, La Feria, and Harlingen area handle reservations directly by phone, website, or email rather than through a central portal. Sites at The Yellow Rose Mobile Home and RV Park, Kenwood RV Resort, VIP - La Feria RV Park, Breezewood Cove RV Park, and The Fig Tree RV Resort should be secured well in advance for any stay between November and March, when returning Winter Texans hold many long-term sites year over year. For state parks in the surrounding Valley, reservations run through the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department reservation system. National wildlife refuges such as Santa Ana are managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for day use only and do not offer overnight camping. Shoulder-season and summer bookings are usually easier to secure on shorter notice, but confirm seasonal hours, pool status, and activity schedules with the park before arrival.
