We had such an amazing experience with this RV! The entire drop-off process was super smooth and easy, and the gentleman who delivered and set everything up was absolutely great! He was friendly, helpful, and made the whole process stress-free. The RV itself was perfect for our group and came stocked with so many useful amenities that made our stay even better. We had an incredible weekend and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Would definitely recommend and rent again!

How to book
Reservation systems vary by operator. Dixie Caverns Campground takes direct bookings by phone or through its website and also accepts walk-ins, with pull-through full-hookup sites including 30- and 50-amp service. Floyd Family Campground books through the KOA reservation system. Wilderness Adventure at Eagle Landing handles its own reservations and also lists inventory through third-party booking platforms. Virginia Highland Haven Airstream Only Park uses the Firefly online reservation portal, requires an Airstream-branded trailer or motorhome plus a seasonal membership, does not accept long-term stays, and caps individual reservations at seven nights. Moncove Lake State Park campsites can be reserved online, by phone, or at the campground office through the West Virginia State Parks system, with a two-night minimum on Friday and Saturday, a one-night minimum Sunday through Thursday, and a 14-night maximum stay.
What to expect on the ground
Dixie Caverns Campground sits right next to Interstate 81 at Exit 132, so access is easy but traffic noise is constant; the park is older and compact, with tight sites that nonetheless accommodate slide-outs and big rigs, plus free WiFi, hot showers, laundry, and a dump station. Virginia Highland Haven Airstream Only Park has 46 paved full-hookup sites at over 2,700 feet elevation with mountain views, but the mountain access roads include sharp curves and steep grades not recommended for inexperienced drivers. Wilderness Adventure at Eagle Landing offers pull-in RV sites, tent spots, and group sites on 500 acres along Craig Creek, with a shower house and water hydrants near the camping area. Moncove Lake State Park has 48 tent and trailer sites, with electric hookups on many, plus a central bathhouse, drinking water, and a dump station.
