Camping near Brier, Washington
Brier is a small residential city in southern Snohomish County, about 15 miles north of Seattle and bordered by Mountlake Terrace, Lynnwood, Bothell, and Lake Forest Park. The city itself covers roughly two square miles of quiet, tree-lined neighborhoods with no campgrounds or RV parks inside the city limits, so RV travelers base themselves at parks in the surrounding suburbs and drive in.
Most RV options sit within a 15 to 30 minute drive. Lake Pleasant RV Park in Bothell is the closest full-service option, with full hookups and wooded sites just off Bothell-Everett Highway. Maple Grove RV Resort, Lakeside RV Park, and Trailer Inns RV Park round out the nearby choices on the north and east sides of Lake Washington, while Vasa Park Resort provides lakefront RV camping on Lake Sammamish in Bellevue.
Brier's location between Interstate 5 and Interstate 405 makes it a practical base for exploring Seattle, Bellevue, Everett, and the Cascade foothills without crossing the tolled Lake Washington bridges.
Things to do near Brier
Brier itself is residential, so most activities are a short drive away. Neighborhood parks and quiet streets suit walking and cycling, and nearby Bothell, Kenmore, and Lake Forest Park offer riverfront trails, including the Sammamish River Trail and the Burke-Gilman Trail, both popular with families on bikes.
Lake Sammamish State Park and the shoreline at Vasa Park Resort provide swimming, paddling, and boat launches during the warm months. Seattle attractions such as Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, and the Museum of Flight are reachable in about 30 minutes without crossing tolled bridges, and the Boeing Future of Flight tour in Everett draws families with older kids.
For day trips, the Cascade foothills, Snoqualmie Falls, and Mount Rainier's north-side entrances are all within reasonable driving range.

The Puget Sound region has a mild, marine climate with a sharp split between a dry summer and a wet cool season. Summer, from late June through early September, is the prime RV window, with warm days, cool nights, and the lowest rainfall of the year. It is also the busiest season at private parks around Bothell and Bellevue, and operators note that sites fill quickly in the peak months.
Spring and fall are quieter and generally still open, but shoulder-season travelers should expect rain, especially in April, October, and November. Trails and lakefront sites remain usable between storms, and mid-week bookings are usually easy to secure.
Winter camping is possible because most Puget Sound private RV parks operate year-round, but conditions are wet and gray. November, December, and January are the wettest months of the year in the Seattle area, delivering a large share of the annual rainfall. Snow is possible but usually light and short-lived at low elevations.

How to book RV sites near Brier
Campgrounds close to Brier are privately operated, so reservations go directly through each park rather than through a state or federal reservation system. Lake Pleasant RV Park takes bookings by phone and through its website, and staff note a 14-day maximum stay per month between May 1 and Labor Day, with seasonal monthly stays available in the off-season from October through early June.
Vasa Park Resort manages short-term reservations online through Campspot, with monthly long-term sites available by request and subject to approval. Maple Grove RV Resort, Lakeside RV Park, and Trailer Inns RV Park each accept direct reservations through their own websites or by phone.
For summer weekends and holidays, book several weeks in advance. Full-hookup and lakefront sites are the first to sell out.
What to expect
Parks near Brier are suburban and convenient rather than remote. Expect paved or gravel pads, full or partial hookups with 30 and 50 amp electric and water, on-site laundry, dump stations, and clean bathhouses. Sites can be close together at the more urban parks, and road noise is a factor at properties along Bothell-Everett Highway and Interstate 405.
Lake Pleasant RV Park offers wooded sites around a catch-and-release pond with short walking trails, on-site propane, and private shower houses, while Vasa Park Resort features direct beach access on Lake Sammamish, a boat launch, playground, and volleyball and basketball courts. Both are pet-friendly, though leash and off-site walking rules vary.
Grocery stores, restaurants, propane, and fuel are all within a few minutes of each park, and light rail and bus service from nearby Mountlake Terrace and Lynnwood connect to downtown Seattle for car-free day trips.

help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037736674-Understanding-the-cancellation-policy-for-guestsCan I bring my dog on a pet-friendly RV rental in Brier?
Absolutely, and your pup will love it. Many hosts offer pet-friendly RV rental Brier options, and you can find them in seconds by toggling the Pet-Friendly filter on RVezy. From there you'll see listings that welcome dogs (and sometimes cats), along with any pet fee the host has set. Brier itself is dog-friendly with leashed-pet trails at nearby Lake Ballinger Park, and dogs are welcome on leash at most Washington State Parks campgrounds and at Kayak Point Regional Park in Stanwood. Pro tip: message the host before booking to share your dog's size and breed, and ask about any local off-leash spots they recommend along your route.
parks.wa.gov/know-before-you-go/rules-and-safety/pets-parksCan the RV be delivered to me in Brier or to a nearby campground?
Yes, RV delivery Brier is one of the easiest ways to start your trip, especially if you're a first-timer or flying into Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), about 25 miles south. Many RVezy hosts deliver directly to your driveway in Brier, to nearby campgrounds like Lake Pleasant RV Park in Bothell or Kayak Point Regional Park in Stanwood, or even to trailheads near the Cascades. The host will set up the RV, level it, connect hookups, and walk you through every system before handing over the keys. Filter by Delivery on RVezy to see hosts who offer it. Pro tip: ask about delivery fees upfront, as many hosts include the first 25 to 50 miles in their base rate.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Brier,%20WashingtonHow far can I drive on a Brier RV trip, and are there mileage limits?
You've got plenty of road ahead of you. Most RV rental Brier hosts include 100 to 150 free miles per night, and several listings on RVezy advertise RV rental with unlimited mileage, which is ideal for longer Washington loops. From Brier you can reach Mount Rainier National Park in about 2.5 hours (95 miles), Olympic National Park in 3 hours (110 miles via the Edmonds-Kingston ferry), Leavenworth's Bavarian village in 2 hours (115 miles), and the North Cascades Highway in roughly 2 hours (95 miles). Each host sets their own mileage policy, and you'll see it clearly on the listing page. Pro tip: if you're planning a big loop, filter for unlimited-mileage rentals and save the extra-mile fees for s'mores supplies.
wsdot.wa.gov/travel/roads-bridgesWhere are the best campgrounds near Brier, WA for my RV?
You're spoiled for choice. Some of the best campgrounds near Brier include Lake Pleasant RV Park in Bothell (about 10 minutes away, full hookups and pet-friendly), Maple Grove RV Resort just north in Everett (luxury sites with long pull-throughs), Kayak Point Regional Park in Stanwood (40 minutes, Puget Sound views), Wenberg County Park on Lake Goodwin (50 minutes, swimming and fishing), and Flowing Lake County Park east of Snohomish (45 minutes, peaceful forested sites). For RV camping Brier travelers love, book Washington State Parks through the official reservation system up to nine months in advance. Pro tip: weekday arrivals at Snohomish County parks dramatically increase your chances of snagging a waterfront spot.
snohomishcountywa.gov/1082/CampgroundsWhen is the best time of year for an RV trip from Brier?
Late June through September is the sweet spot for a Brier RV trip. Summer highs in the Seattle metro area hover between 70 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit with little rain, making it ideal for everything from Mount Rainier hikes to San Juan Islands ferry trips. Spring (April to mid-June) brings tulip festivals in Skagit Valley and green, moody forests with daytime temps in the 55 to 65 range. Fall (September to October) delivers golden larches in the North Cascades and far fewer crowds. Winters are mild but wet, with lows around 35 to 40 degrees, great for shoulder-season getaways to the Olympic Peninsula. Pro tip: late September often delivers summer-like weather at off-season prices.
weather.gov/sew/I'm renting an RV for the first time. How do I know what I'm doing?
Relax, first time renting an RV is easier than you think, especially in Brier. Every RVezy host gives a hands-on orientation at pickup (or at delivery), walking you through driving, leveling, the propane and water systems, the generator, slide-outs, dumping, and how to hook up at a campground. You can also message your host any time during your trip with questions. If you'd rather skip the city driving altogether, choose a host who offers delivery to your campground. Pro tip: for your first night, book a full-hookup site at Lake Pleasant RV Park in Bothell, just 10 minutes from Brier. You'll get a low-stress practice run before heading deeper into the Cascades or out to the coast.
rvezy.com/rv-rentals/washingtonWhat if I have a breakdown or need roadside help during my trip?
You're never alone on the road. Every motorhome rental Brier and travel trailer booking on RVezy includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection plan, so help is one phone call away whether you're parked at Deception Pass, climbing toward Stevens Pass on Highway 2, or stuck with a flat in downtown Brier. The roadside team can dispatch tow trucks, tire service, jump-starts, lockout help, and fuel delivery throughout Washington State. RVezy customer support is also available before, during, and after your trip. Pro tip: save both the roadside number and your host's contact in your phone before pulling out of the driveway so you're ready for anything.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take my Brier RV rental into Canada or other states?
Yes, many hosts allow cross-border and interstate trips, which is a huge perk of an RV road trip from Brier given Vancouver, BC is just 140 miles north. Popular routes include Brier to Vancouver and Whistler (3 to 4 hours), Brier south to the Oregon Coast (about 5 hours to Astoria), and Brier east through the North Cascades Loop. Travel into Canada must be approved by your host and confirmed for insurance coverage before booking, so message them directly from the listing. One firm rule: travel into Mexico is not permitted on any RVezy rental because protection coverage doesn't extend there. Pro tip: have your passport ready at the Peace Arch border crossing in Blaine, the busiest US to Canada crossing in the Pacific Northwest.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validityWhat should I budget for fuel on an RV trip from Brier?
Fuel is the biggest variable in your trip budget, but it's easy to plan for. Gas prices in the Seattle-Brier area typically run higher than the national average, often around $4.30 to $4.90 per gallon. Class B campervans get the best mileage at roughly 18 to 22 MPG, Class C motorhomes average 10 to 14 MPG, Class A motorhomes around 8 to 10 MPG, and a truck pulling a travel trailer lands near 10 to 13 MPG. For a 300-mile loop from Brier to Mount Rainier and back in a Class C, expect roughly $90 to $130 in fuel. Pro tip: fill up in Lynnwood or Bothell before heading into the Cascades, where gas at Stevens Pass and Highway 20 can run 50 cents per gallon higher.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far in advance should I book a campground for my Brier RV trip?
Earlier is always better for campervan rental Brier travelers heading to Washington's most popular spots. Washington State Parks open reservations up to nine months in advance through the official Washington State Parks reservation system, and weekends at favorites like Deception Pass and Larrabee book up the day they open. National Park sites at Mount Rainier and Olympic open six months ahead on Recreation.gov. Snohomish County parks like Kayak Point and Flowing Lake open about six months ahead. Private RV resorts near Brier (Lake Pleasant, Maple Grove) often have more flexibility within a few weeks of your trip. Pro tip: set a calendar reminder for the nine-month-out date if you want a waterfront site on a July weekend.
washington.goingtocamp.com/What's it like driving an RV around Brier and the Seattle area?
Driving is straightforward once you know a few local quirks. Brier itself is a quiet suburb just off Interstate 5 and Highway 99, with easy access for any size RV. Avoid driving through downtown Seattle during weekday rush hours (7 to 9 AM and 3 to 7 PM), and steer clear of the SR 99 tunnel under downtown if your rig is over 11 feet tall. Headed into the Cascades? Highway 2 over Stevens Pass and Highway 20 (North Cascades) close periodically in winter, so check WSDOT before you go. Summer brings smoke days occasionally. Pro tip: choose a host who offers RV delivery Brier so you can skip city driving entirely and start your trip at the campground.
wsdot.wa.gov/travel/mountain-passesWhat hookups and amenities can I expect at campgrounds near Brier?
You'll find a great mix. Most private RV parks near Brier (Lake Pleasant, Maple Grove, Eagle Tree RV Park) offer full hookups, 30/50-amp electric, water, sewer, free Wi-Fi, and laundry. Washington State Parks and Snohomish County parks typically offer water and electric (some with full hookups), plus dump stations, flush toilets, and hot showers. Free dump stations are available in the Seattle area at places like the Snohomish County Cathcart facility. Pro tip: top off your fresh water tank before leaving Brier (most hosts include this in the walkthrough) and keep an eye out for the dump station at Smokey Point rest area on I-5 northbound, a clean and convenient stop on your way home.
parks.wa.gov/find-parksWhat features and amenities come with a typical Brier RV rental?
More than you'd expect. A typical motorhome rental Brier listing on RVezy comes ready to camp with sleeping for 4 to 8 people, a kitchen (fridge, stove, microwave, sink), a bathroom with shower and toilet, climate-control air conditioning and furnace, a dinette, and seatbelted seating for travel. Many include a TV, Bluetooth stereo, outdoor awning, and either a built-in generator or solar setup. Wi-Fi is often available as a hotspot add-on. You'll find these details listed clearly on each listing page. Pro tip: if you're going off-grid in the Olympic Peninsula or San Juan Islands, filter for listings with a generator or solar panels so you can run lights, fans, and a fridge without shore power.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Brier,%20WashingtonWhat add-ons and pickup options should I look for when I rent an RV in Brier?
RVezy hosts in Brier offer a wide range of add-ons to make your trip smoother: camp chairs, outdoor tables, BBQ grills, bike racks, kayak racks, generators, linen and kitchen packages, and even pre-stocked pantries. Pickup is usually at the host's home in Brier or nearby Bothell, Mountlake Terrace, or Lynnwood, with delivery available from many hosts for a per-mile fee. Mileage policies vary by listing (anywhere from 100 free miles per night to fully unlimited), and you'll see it clearly before you book. Pro tip: add a generator if you're heading into Olympic National Park or any forested site without electric hookups. It's the difference between a chilly tent vibe and a cozy living room on wheels.
nps.gov/olym/planyourvisit/camping.htmHow does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?
Payment is simple and secure. When you book an RV rental in Washington through RVezy, you pay through the platform with a credit or debit card, never directly to the host. The total includes your nightly rate, service fees, taxes, the protection plan you select, and any add-ons. A refundable security deposit is held on your card before pickup and released after the trip ends, assuming the RV comes back in the same condition it left. The exact deposit amount is shown on the listing before you confirm. Pro tip: do a full walkaround with your host at pickup, take date-stamped photos and a quick video, and you'll breeze through the return inspection back in Brier with your deposit returned promptly.
