Campgrounds and RV parks near Clear Lake, WA

Clear Lake is a small census-designated place in Skagit County, Washington, between Sedro-Woolley and Mount Vernon at the western foot of the Cascade Range. The community sits along its namesake 220-acre lake, with quick access to State Route 9 and Interstate 5, making it a practical base for RV travelers exploring the Skagit Valley, the San Juan ferry terminals at Anacortes, and the western approach to North Cascades National Park. RV options in the immediate area lean toward private parks rather than developed public campgrounds. Walker Valley ORV is a well-known off-road destination managed by the Washington Department of Natural Resources, located near Clear Lake and Mount Vernon, and is the closest recreation site to town. Skagit Valley RV Park and Mount Vernon RV Park sit a short drive south along the I-5 corridor, while Burlington / Anacortes KOA Holiday offers a full-amenity option to the northwest. Skagit Speedway, a dirt oval that draws regional crowds on summer race nights, also sits within easy reach for travelers who want a stop between camp and the coast.

Private RV parks in the Clear Lake area, including Skagit Valley RV Park, Mount Vernon RV Park, and Burlington / Anacortes KOA Holiday, take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. Summer weekends, the April tulip festival, and Skagit Speedway race nights book out earliest, so reserving several weeks ahead is sensible. Burlington / Anacortes KOA is a security-gated property, and reservations must be made in advance to receive the gate code for after-hours arrivals. From April 1 to October 1, RV sites, tent sites, and all cabins require 30 days cancellation notice, and cancellations made inside that window forfeit the entire deposit. For Walker Valley ORV, day use and primitive camping at the staging area do not require a campground reservation, but a Washington State Discover Pass is required at the trailhead.
