Campgrounds and RV parks near Meadowdale, WA

Meadowdale Beach Park covers 108 acres along the Puget Sound shoreline with its main entrance at 6026 156th Avenue SW in Edmonds. A wooded trail through Lund's Gulch drops down to the mouth of Lunds Gulch Creek, where a restored 1.3-acre estuary now provides rearing habitat for Chinook, chum, and coho salmon. The 2023 restoration replaced an undersized culvert with a five-span railroad bridge, improving ADA beach access and reconnecting the creek to the sound. The Edmonds waterfront, marina, and downtown sit minutes south and offer beach walks, the public fishing pier, and the ferry terminal to Kingston. Across the sound, Heronswood Garden, Point No Point Lighthouse, and Port Gamble Forest Heritage Park make easy day trips. For families, the Tulalip area to the north combines outlet shopping, the casino resort, and Kayak Point County Park on Port Susan.

The Puget Sound lowlands run on a wet-winter, dry-summer pattern. The cool-season storm track delivers the great majority of annual precipitation between October and March, with November, December, and January accounting for roughly half of the area's annual rainfall by volume. Expect frequent light rain and overcast skies through this stretch, with the heaviest atmospheric river events arriving in late fall and early winter. Late June through early September is the prime RV window. Summers are reliably warm and dry, with long daylight hours and stable high pressure overhead. Reservations at popular state parks and private resorts fill weeks ahead for July and August weekends; book early if traveling around the Fourth of July or Labor Day. Shoulder months reward flexible travelers. May and September deliver mild days, lower rates at many private parks, and easier reservations. Annual precipitation at nearby Sea-Tac averages roughly 39 inches, falling primarily between October and March, when many area campgrounds remain open despite occasional freezing nights, so winter trips are workable with the right rig.

Most named campgrounds near Meadowdale sit along arterial corridors rather than deep wilderness, so road access is straightforward for larger rigs. Lake Pleasant RV Park in Bothell features paved, level pads with full hookups, 30 and 50 amp service, an on-site dump station, propane, laundry, and Wi-Fi, with year-round operation just off I-405. Maple Grove RV Resort and Lakeside RV Park offer similar full-service setups along the Everett-Lynnwood corridor. The Point Casino RV area in Kingston is a smaller gravel lot with limited services and works best for self-contained rigs. Port Susan Camping Club operates as a private membership park on wooded terrain in the Tulalip area. Cell coverage is generally strong across the Edmonds-Everett corridor and patchier on the Kitsap side. Pets are welcome at most parks on leash, and quiet hours are enforced.
