Campgrounds and RV parks near Delavan Lake, WI

Delavan Lake sits in Walworth County in southeastern Wisconsin, part of the state's Southern Lake region and within a short drive of the Southern Kettle Moraine State Forest. The area is a well-established summer destination centered on lake recreation, with Delavan Lake itself and nearby Turtle Lake, Whitewater Lake, and Geneva Lake all within a short RV trip. Options close to Delavan Lake range from full-hookup lakefront resorts to a traditional Wisconsin state park campground. Snug Harbor Inn Campground on Turtle Lake sits directly on the water northwest of town, and Coachmans Terrace Park lies just a few miles from Big Foot Beach State Park. Scenic Ridge Campground is set near Whitewater Lake in the Kettle Moraine area, and Big Foot Beach State Park is on Lake Geneva, the only state park within the town's limits. Circle K Campground fills in as an additional private option in the surrounding countryside. Most campgrounds in the area are seasonal and operate roughly from spring through mid-fall, so trip timing matters more here than in year-round southern destinations.

Big Foot Beach State Park uses the Wisconsin State Park reservation system at wisconsin.goingtocamp.com or by phone at 888-947-2757. Sites can be reserved up to 11 months in advance, and all standard campsites at Wisconsin state parks are reservable, with no first-come, first-served sites available. A Wisconsin State Park vehicle admission sticker is required in addition to the nightly camping fee, and a two-night minimum typically applies from mid-May through October. Private campgrounds including Snug Harbor Inn Campground on Turtle Lake, Scenic Ridge Campground, Coachmans Terrace Park, and Circle K Campground handle their own reservations directly by phone or website. Weekend and holiday stays commonly carry two or three-night minimums, so booking early for summer weekends is strongly recommended.
