Eden is a small village in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, sitting between the city of Fond du Lac and the Northern Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest. Nearby private campgrounds include Breezy Hill Campground, Fond du Lac East/Kettle Moraine KOA, Hoeft's Resort and Campground, Timber Trail Campground, and Kalbus Country Harbor Inc. The area blends farm country with recreation corridors. Eden itself is the northern trailhead of the Eisenbahn State Trail, a former rail bed that runs south through Fond du Lac and Washington counties on paved and crushed-limestone surfaces. That trail, combined with the state forest to the east and Lake Winnebago to the west, gives families several distinct types of outings from a single base. Public camping is anchored by the Northern Unit of Kettle Moraine State Forest, which stretches roughly 22 miles between Glenbeulah and West Bend and contains standard, group, equestrian, and backpack sites. Private parks near Eden fill in with full-hookup RV sites, cabins, and lake access.
