Campgrounds and RV parks near Newburg, WI

Newburg sits along the Milwaukee River in northern Ozaukee County, roughly 40 miles north of Milwaukee and within a short drive of both Lake Michigan and the Kettle Moraine glacial landscape. The area suits RV travelers who want a quiet base within reach of Wisconsin's southeast lakes, forests, and small-town main streets, without the traffic of the immediate metro corridor. Private campgrounds cluster around the lakes and rolling farmland of Washington, Ozaukee, and Sheboygan counties. Lazy Days Campground and Lake Lenwood Beach and Campground offer full-hookup RV sites, while Timber Trail Campground, Hager's Hilly Haven Campground, and Hoeft's Resort and Campground provide a mix of seasonal and short-stay options. Most host families and offer swimming, fishing, and weekend activities. For state-run camping, the closest options are Harrington Beach State Park on the Lake Michigan shore and the Northern Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest to the west. Both sit within 30 to 45 minutes of Newburg and expand the range of hiking, paddling, and shoreline access available to RV renters.

Wisconsin state park campsites, including Harrington Beach and the Kettle Moraine Northern Unit, are booked through the Wisconsin DNR reservation system at wisconsin.goingtocamp.com or by phone. Sites become available on a rolling window up to eleven months ahead of the arrival date, and popular summer weekends are often claimed the day they open. A state park vehicle admission sticker is required in addition to the site fee. Private campgrounds around Newburg, such as Lazy Days Campground, Lake Lenwood Beach and Campground, Timber Trail Campground, Hager's Hilly Haven Campground, and Hoeft's Resort and Campground, take direct reservations through their own websites or by phone. Many require deposits and enforce minimum stays on holiday weekends, and larger rigs should confirm site length, hookup type, and low-branch clearance before booking.
