Winnebago Roam Camper Van Rental – Campground Ready (Not Designed for Boondocking) Explore in comfort with our Winnebago Roam Class B camper van. This van is perfect for campground travel, road trips, and national park adventures where you have access to shore power. Before booking, we want to be fully transparent about how the van works so you have the best trip possible. The van must be plugged into shore power (campground or house outlet) to run the microwave, house air conditioner/heater, shower,and standard electrical outlets. It does not have a generator and is not designed for boondocking or off-grid electrical use. We had a previous renter who attempted to use the van without shore power and were very disappointed when the outlets and microwave did not work. We want to make sure future renters clearly understand this so expectations match the van’s capabilities and everyone has a great experience. The van does not currently have a generator because we are saving to add a wheelchair lift in the future, so stay tuned for that upgrade.
