Cami's Camper (I love the fact he named it after one of his dogs!) Was clean and well appointed. The use of the weight distribution hitch was also a big plus, made towing this unit with my smaller truck pretty effortless. All in all, was an excellent first RV experience for my wife and I, and the pups of course. The host was easy to communicate with and answered all my questions, no matter how silly they were, cuz let's face it, you don't know what you don't know - until you ask. I highly recommend both the RV and host. Thank you.

Matthew was very accommodating with the pick-up and drop-off logistics. And he even allowed my elderly mother to “test” the steps and seating several weeks ahead of time to ensure she would be comfortable for the trip. The overall RV was clean and operated wonderfully. I would definitely recommend renting from Matthew.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Saskatchewan

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Saskatchewan and what are some money-saving tips?

RV rental in Saskatchewan is surprisingly affordable: you'll find options starting around $100 CAD per night for basic travel trailers, while larger motorhome rentals can range from $180 to $275 CAD per night. Local demand peaks in July and August when folks head to Waskesiu and Saskatoon for summer camping, so consider shoulder seasons like May/June or September for the best deals. Filter for 'cheap RV rental Saskatchewan' on RVezy to spot specials, or book well in advance for the lowest prices. Pro tip: longer rentals often get weekly discounts, making that week-long Saskatchewan RV road trip even better value.

What do I need to rent an RV in Saskatchewan?

Good news: you only need to be at least 25 years old with a valid standard driver's license to rent an RV in Saskatchewan: no special RV license or training required. RVezy makes it even easier by verifying your ID and license during the booking process. Whether you're a local or visiting from another province, it's a hassle-free start to your Saskatchewan RV trip. Most first-timers are surprised how quickly they're ready to hit the road.

Is insurance or protection included with my Saskatchewan RV rental?

Every RV rental in Saskatchewan through RVezy includes a protection package, so you're covered for most damages and get 24/7 roadside assistance during your trip. You choose your protection level when you book: no surprises or host upcharges. Whether you bump into a pothole on the way to Prince Albert or need a tow near Cypress Hills, help is always just a call away. Just pick your adventure and travel worry-free!

How flexible are cancellations for RV rentals in Saskatchewan?

Booking your Saskatchewan RV rental is low-risk: RVezy has a straightforward cancellation policy. You get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of the host accepting your booking and payment being made. After that, refund amounts depend on how far in advance you cancel (for example, more than 30 days, 30 to 8 days, or 7 days or less). You'll see all the details before you book and can modify or cancel through your account. If a host cancels, you receive a full refund. So if a prairie thunderstorm changes your plans, you can adjust or rebook when the sun comes out again.

Can I bring my pet on my Saskatchewan RV trip?

Pet-friendly RV rental Saskatchewan options are easy to find: filter for 'pet-friendly' when searching. Many hosts welcome four-legged campers, so your best friend can explore the grasslands or paddle at Prince Albert too. Just check each listing for the pet policy and any cleaning fees. For a puppy-perfect stop, try Saskatoon's Dog Park or the pet-friendly trails near Waskesiu Lake. Ready to roll? Dogs love RV life as much as you do!

Can I get an RV delivered directly to my campground or driveway in Saskatchewan?

Absolutely: RV delivery in Saskatchewan is a popular choice! Many RVezy hosts offer delivery and setup right to your favorite campground, cabin, or even your own driveway. No towing or big-rig driving required. Let the host bring your fully equipped home-on-wheels to Parks Canada sites like Prince Albert National Park or Emma Lake, and they'll walk you through everything before they go. It's the easiest way for first-timers to start their adventure.

How far can I travel with a Saskatchewan RV rental, and what are the typical mileage policies?

Your RV rental in Saskatchewan just begs for a road trip: most rentals include a set number of free kilometers per day (often 100 to 200 km), with extra kilometers charged at a simple fixed rate. Want to roam farther? Message the host before booking about unlimited mileage options for true cross-province adventure. Popular routes include Saskatoon to Cypress Hills (585 km), Regina to Grasslands National Park (370 km), and the epic trek to northern lakes. Saskatchewan's vast horizons await!

Where are the best campgrounds for RV camping in Saskatchewan?

You'll be spoiled for choice for RV camping in Saskatchewan: check out Waskesiu Lake Campground (full hookups, close to the lake), The Battlefords Provincial Park (family-friendly, great for fishing), and Grasslands National Park West Block (amazing starry nights, simple services). Most campgrounds use the online Parks Reservation Service, so booking ahead is simple. For a secret gem, try Good Spirit Lake near Yorkton: endless sandy beaches and relaxed vibes.

When is the best time for an RV road trip in Saskatchewan?

Saskatchewan really shines from late May through mid-September, when temperatures range from 17 to 27°C (63 to 80°F) and wildflowers blanket the prairies. If you love fewer crowds and golden autumn colors, September is a sweet spot. Winter RV camping is possible: especially near Prince Albert or southern parks, but you'll need a winterized unit, heated tanks, and shore power for those chilly -20°C nights. Whatever your season, prairie sunsets are unforgettable!

I've never driven an RV before: will I get help when I pick up my rental?

First-time renting an RV? You've got this: even if you've never driven anything bigger than an SUV. Every RVezy host in Saskatchewan gives you a personalized walkthrough of all the features, safety tips, and driving essentials when you pick up (or receive delivery of) your motorhome rental. You can also message hosts anytime with questions before you roll out. You'll feel like a seasoned road warrior by the time you hit the highway!

What happens if I have a breakdown or issue during my Saskatchewan RV trip?

Help is always close by: every RV rental in Saskatchewan includes 24/7 roadside assistance for flat tires, battery jumps, lockouts, and more. No matter if you're boondocking on the prairie or camped out at Buffalo Pound, there's a team ready to get you rolling again. Simply call the emergency number included in your booking, and keep exploring with confidence. Road trip hiccups don't have to slow your Saskatchewan adventure.

Can I take my RV rental from Saskatchewan to other provinces or across the US border?

Feel free to plan a true prairie road trip! Many RV rentals in Saskatchewan allow travel across provincial borders: just confirm with the host for your specific route. Heading into the U.S.? Some rentals support cross-border travel if you're visiting North Dakota or Montana (you'll need your passport and RVezy documents). Travel to Mexico isn't permitted. Epic routes from Saskatoon might include The Rockies (5 to 6 hours' drive) or Winnipeg (8 hours).

How much should I budget for gas on a Saskatchewan RV rental?

Expect to get 8 to 14 miles per gallon (12 to 20 litres/100km) with most RVs in Saskatchewan. With local gas prices averaging $1.65 to $1.85 CAD per litre, a 500 km round trip to Prince Albert might cost $100 to $150 CAD in fuel. Want to stretch your budget? Choose a campervan rental or smaller RV, and plan stops in larger towns like Regina or Saskatoon to fill up at the best prices. Every adventure mile is worth it!

How far ahead should I reserve a campground in Saskatchewan, and which booking systems do I use?

Booking your RV campground in Saskatchewan is easy and fast. Provincial parks (like Duck Mountain, Cypress Hills, or Rowan's Ravine) open reservations as early as April, and summer weekends fill quickly: book 2 to 4 months out for prime spots. Use the Saskatchewan Parks Reservation Service online, while national parks use Parks Canada's app and website. Last-minute? There are still first-come, first-served sites at many parks. Early birds get the best lake views!

What local driving conditions or road rules should I know for a Saskatchewan RV trip?

Saskatchewan roads are made for easy RV cruising: most highways are straight and flat, with little traffic outside Saskatoon and Regina. Watch for wildlife at dusk and dawn, especially moose and deer on Hwy 2 and 11. Spring thaw can mean rough patches or construction, so check local updates before your trip. In winter, keep an eye on weather and be ready for icy conditions. The prairies are calling: you're ready to roll!

What amenities and services should I expect at Saskatchewan campgrounds?

You'll find everything from rustic sites to full-service hook-ups in Saskatchewan. Most main campgrounds offer electric and water hookups, clean washrooms, firewood sales, and playgrounds for kids. Full sewer service is common at Waskesiu or The Battlefords. Look for potable water fill stations and on-site dump stations: some provincial parks like Moose Mountain even offer hot showers and laundry. Every stop is a little easier with the right setup.

What features and amenities can I expect in an RV rental in Saskatchewan?

Most Saskatchewan RV rentals come fully equipped for comfort: expect real beds (often queen or double), kitchens with fridges and stoves, full bathrooms, heating/AC, and DVD or streaming TVs. Many have generators and wifi for off-grid stops. You'll always have seatbelts for safe family travel, and most units sleep 2 to 8 people. Want extras like camping chairs or bike racks? Look for add-ons right in each listing. It's road trip luxury, prairie style.

How do pickup and dropoff, mileage, and add-ons work with an RV rental in Saskatchewan?

Your Saskatchewan RV rental puts you in control: You'll set your preferred pickup and dropoff times when booking, with many hosts offering flexible hours and delivery. Mileage policies (daily included kilometers) are clear at checkout: no surprises. Love local add-ons? Hosts often offer extras like firewood, portable BBQs, kayaks, or linens. Book exactly the trip you want, and ask the host from the listing for anything special.

How does payment and the security deposit work for RV rentals in Saskatchewan?

Booking your RV rental Saskatchewan trip is secure and straightforward. Payment is handled safely through RVezy, and a security deposit is held for the duration of your trip: this protects both you and the host. As long as you return the RV clean and undamaged, your deposit comes back quickly. Review the deposit amount in the listing before booking. Your adventure, and your payment, are well protected on every trip.
