FANTASTIC RV! Runs really strong as we traveled through the hills of Kentucky! Very, very nice RV and comfortable! The pop-out is just right and easy to set-up! Marisol is a great communicator and host! We had some issues with our flight getting in late and she totally accommodated us for the meet-up as well as the drop-off! Highly recommend she and her AWESOME RV, Thor (ya, it's the model name, but fits this tough little RV)!

Our family was thrilled with our experience with Ryan! The RV was in immaculate condition, and was well stocked with fun games, and plenty of blankets. There was even multiple spices and coffee/hot chocolate pods available for evenings sitting around the table playing games. We created some amazing memories while travelling together, and Ryan was an exceptional host in that experience. We could not recommend Ryan enough!

When is the best time to visit Cold Spring, KY in an RV?

Late April through mid-June and all of September through October are the sweet spots for a Cold Spring, KY RV trip. Spring temperatures typically sit in the 60s to 70s Fahrenheit with blooming dogwoods, while fall delivers crisp 55 to 75 degree days and brilliant Ohio Valley foliage. Summer (June through August) is warm and humid with highs in the mid 80s and occasional thunderstorms, great for river days but busier at campgrounds. What are the driving conditions like around Cold Spring, KY?

Driving an RV around Cold Spring is friendlier than most metro areas. US-27 (Alexandria Pike) is the main artery, with wide lanes and easy access to I-275 and I-471 for Cincinnati. Expect rolling hills, a few tight river-valley curves on KY-8 along the Ohio, and rush-hour congestion roughly 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. on I-471 heading into downtown Cincinnati. The Brent Spence Bridge area gets backed up, so route via I-275 when possible in a tall rig. Winter brings occasional snow and ice from December to February, and summer can deliver pop-up thunderstorms. Download offline maps before heading to Red River Gorge, as cell coverage thins past Winchester on the Mountain Parkway.

KOA Cincinnati South / Crittenden has full 30/50-amp hookups, Wi-Fi, propane refills, and a pool. Indian Springs Campground provides water, electric, dump station access, and nearby river fishing. If your RV has a 50-amp plug, double-check the site you are booking; smaller riverside parks sometimes only offer 30-amp service, and your host can provide a dogbone adapter on request.
