Mathew was awesome. Very friendly guy. We requested a delivery for his camper and by the time we got to the campgrounds at the agreed upon time to meet him at the entrance and show him where to setup.. he already had the camper completely ready to go on our site and was just waiting for us to arrive. Trailer was perfect. Looks brand new, clean, and everything worked with no issues. We will definitely give him repeat business. Highly recommend. Would give 6 stars if possible.

Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Fall River?

Good news for first-time renters: your standard Class D Massachusetts driver's license (or equivalent license from your home state or country) is all you need to rent an RV in Fall River. The Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles only requires a Commercial Driver's License for vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating over 26,001 pounds, and virtually every RV listed on RVezy falls well below that threshold. RVezy approved drivers are generally 25 or older, and your ID is verified securely through the platform. Visiting from abroad? Bring an International Driving Permit along with your home license and you are road-ready.

What happens if I need to cancel my Fall River RV trip?

Booking is lower-risk than you might think. RVezy sets the cancellation policy (not individual hosts), and it includes a money-back grace period right after booking so you can lock in your dates without stress. After that window, your refund depends on factors like how far out your trip is and the timing of the cancellation. If a host needs to cancel, RVezy refunds guests or provides credits so you are not left without options. RVezy's support team is reachable before, during, and after your trip. Pro tip: book early to secure summer Cape Cod weekends, knowing the grace period has your back if plans shift.

Can the RV be delivered to me in Fall River?

Yes, and it is the easiest way to start your trip. Many RVezy hosts offer RV delivery in Fall River and the surrounding South Coast, meaning they will drive the rig to your driveway, your campsite at Horseneck Beach, or even a Cape Cod campground and walk you through every system before handing over the keys. That is a game-changer if it is your first time renting an RV or you do not want to navigate Route 24 traffic at the wheel of a 30-footer. Look for the Delivery filter on RVezy and check each listing's delivery radius and per-mile fee. Pro tip: ask your host about delivery directly to Scusset Beach State Reservation, a popular drop-off spot near the Cape Cod Canal.

From Fall River you're about 20 miles to Newport, RI, 50 miles to Boston, 60 miles to Provincetown via the Cape, 75 miles to Mystic, CT, and around 180 miles to the Maine coast at Kennebunkport. Just check the mileage section on each listing before you book. Where are the best campgrounds near Fall River, MA?

You're surrounded by some of New England's best coastal camping. A few standouts for RV camping in Fall River include Horseneck Beach State Reservation in Westport (about 15 miles south, oceanfront sites with electric hookups), Massasoit State Park in Taunton (about 20 miles north, wooded sites near a freshwater pond), Scusset Beach State Reservation near the Cape Cod Canal (about 35 miles, full hookups and canal fishing), Boston/Cape Cod KOA in Middleboro (about 25 miles, full hookups and family amenities), and Normandy Farms Family Camping Resort in Foxboro (about 30 miles, resort-style with pools and Wi-Fi). Pro tip: Massachusetts state parks book through ReserveAmerica up to six months in advance, so set a reminder for popular summer weekends.

When is the best time of year for a Fall River RV trip?

Late spring through mid-fall is the sweet spot. Fall River sits on Mount Hope Bay where summers are warm and humid, averaging highs of 78 to 82 degrees Fahrenheit in July and August, while winters dip into the 20s and 30s with occasional Nor'easter snow. The smartest booking window is mid-May through late October: campgrounds are open, beaches are warm, and traffic to the Cape is manageable. September and early October are an insider favorite, with crisp 65 to 70 degree days, fewer crowds, and brilliant foliage along the Taunton River and Freetown-Fall River State Forest. Pro tip: book mid-June or early September weekends to enjoy peak weather without peak prices.

I've never driven an RV before, will I be okay?

Yes, first time renting an RV is much easier than you'd expect, especially in this area. Every RVezy host gives you a full walkthrough at pickup covering driving tips, leveling, water, electric, propane, slide-outs, and the dump valve. From Fall River, the roads are very RV-friendly: Route 24, I-195, and Route 6 all offer wide lanes and gentle grades, and you can avoid Boston's tighter city streets entirely by heading south to Newport or east toward Cape Cod. If you want to skip driving altogether, choose RV delivery and have the rig brought right to your campground. Pro tip: a Class C motorhome rental in Fall River drives like a big van and is the perfect first-time vehicle.

What if something goes wrong on the road?

You are never on your own. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance with a protection plan, so if you have a flat tire on I-195, a battery issue at Horseneck Beach, or a tow need on the Cape Cod Canal bridges, help is one phone call away. Your host is also reachable by message for quick questions, like how to reset the generator or relight the water heater. RVezy's customer support team backs you up before, during, and after your trip. Pro tip: save the roadside number in your phone before pickup and snap a photo of the RV's VIN and license plate, so you can share details fast if you ever need assistance.

Can I take my Fall River RV rental into Rhode Island, Maine, or Canada?

Yes, multi-state road trips are one of the best parts of renting here. Fall River sits right on the Rhode Island border, so most hosts welcome trips through Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine, and many also allow travel into Canada with advance notice (since insurance and protection coverage extend cross-border on most listings). Travel to Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals. Popular routes include Fall River to Newport and Block Island ferry, Fall River to the White Mountains in New Hampshire, and the full coastal run up to Bar Harbor, Maine. Pro tip: message the host before booking to confirm Canada travel and bring your passport for any border crossing.
cbp.gov/travel/us-citizens/know-before-you-go

What should I budget for fuel on a Fall River RV trip?

Fuel is easier to plan than most people think. Massachusetts gas prices typically run a bit above the national average, often around $3.20 to $3.70 per gallon for regular and slightly higher for diesel, with stations easy to find along Route 24, I-195, and Route 6 in Fall River. Expect roughly 8 to 10 miles per gallon (MPG) for a Class A, 10 to 14 MPG for a Class C, 18 to 22 MPG for a campervan, and 12 to 16 MPG for a tow vehicle pulling a travel trailer. For a weekend Cape Cod loop of about 200 miles in a Class C, plan around $60 to $80 in fuel. Pro tip: fill up before crossing the Bourne or Sagamore Bridge, as Cape Cod prices tick higher.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Fall River?

Earlier is better, but you have options at any timeline. Massachusetts state parks like Horseneck Beach, Myles Standish, and Scusset Beach release reservations six months in advance through ReserveAmerica, and prime summer weekends often sell out within minutes of going live. For July and August, book in January or February if you can. Private campgrounds such as Normandy Farms and Boston/Cape Cod KOA usually open bookings 12 months out and have more flexibility. Shoulder-season trips in May, September, or October can often be booked just a week or two ahead. Pro tip: if state park sites are full, check Hipcamp for private land sites near Westport and Tiverton, which often have availability when the big campgrounds don't.
mass.gov/info-details/reserve-a-campsite-or-yurt-at-a-massachusetts-state-park

What are local driving conditions like around Fall River?

Driving an RV around Fall River is refreshingly manageable. The main routes (I-195, Route 24, and Route 6) are wide, well-maintained, and built for high traffic, so they handle motorhomes and travel trailers easily. Watch for the Braga Bridge over the Taunton River, which has standard clearances but can get gusty, and avoid downtown Fall River's older, narrower streets near Battleship Cove if you're in a Class A. Summer Friday afternoons on Route 6 toward the Cape get congested, so aim to travel mornings or Saturdays. Winter brings occasional snow and ice from December through February. Pro tip: use the Massachusetts Department of Transportation's Mass511 site to check real-time traffic and incidents before heading to the Cape Cod Canal bridges.
mass511.com/

What hookups and amenities can I expect at campgrounds near Fall River?

You'll find a full range of options. Most private campgrounds within an hour of Fall River, including Boston/Cape Cod KOA, Normandy Farms, and Gateway to Cape Cod, offer full hookups (water, 30/50 amp electric, and sewer) plus Wi-Fi, laundry, dump stations, and potable water fills. Massachusetts state parks like Horseneck Beach and Scusset Beach typically provide electric and water at the site, with a central dump station and shared bathhouses, but not always sewer at the pad. Need to dump or fill on the road? Scusset Beach and Massasoit State Park both have public dump stations. Pro tip: bring a 25-foot drinking-safe hose and a 50-amp to 30-amp adapter, so you're ready for any site setup.
mass.gov/locations/scusset-beach-state-reservation

What features come standard in a Fall River RV rental?

More than you'd expect. Most motorhome rentals in Fall River come fully equipped with sleeping for 4 to 8 (real mattresses, convertible dinettes, and bunks in family units), a kitchen with stove, microwave, fridge, and sink, a wet or dry bathroom with shower and toilet, air conditioning, furnace heat, and seatbelted seating for travel. Many listings include a TV, Bluetooth stereo, awning, outdoor chairs, and a generator for off-grid stays at Horseneck or Scusset Beach. Some hosts add Wi-Fi hotspots, bikes, kayaks, or beach gear as add-ons, perfect for South Coast trips. Pro tip: check the listing's amenities list and message the host for any specific must-haves like a coffee maker or pack-n-play before you book.
mass.gov/orgs/massachusetts-office-of-travel-tourism

How do pickup, drop-off, and add-ons work?

It's flexible and built around your trip. Most Fall River hosts offer standard pickup at their home address in neighborhoods like the Highlands or Maplewood, or RV delivery to a campground, marina, or your driveway for a per-mile fee. Common add-ons include generator hours, propane refills, dump and clean services, linens and kitchen kits, bikes, kayaks, and pet cleaning fees, all listed transparently on the booking page. Mileage policies vary by host, with many offering 100 to 150 free miles per day and unlimited mileage options for longer Maine or Vermont trips. Pro tip: ask about a one-way trip to Boston Logan, Providence, or Cape Cod, since some hosts in Fall River will accommodate it for an extra fee.
mass.gov/orgs/massachusetts-department-of-transportation

How does payment and the security deposit work?

Payment is simple, secure, and entirely through RVezy, so no cash changes hands at pickup. You pay your rental total by credit or debit card when you book, and the host receives funds after your trip starts. A refundable security deposit is handled separately from your booking payment and is typically $500 to $1,500 depending on the RV class. It is released after drop-off once the host confirms no damage or missing items. To avoid surprises: take date-stamped photos at pickup and drop-off, follow the mileage and generator limits, and return the RV with the same fuel and propane levels noted in the agreement. Pro tip: do a slow walkaround video at pickup of your Fall River rental, it makes deposit return effortless.
