My family had a great time in the RV at a campsite in North Texas. The unit was very clean and spacious. They provide all essential needs within the unit and it was very easy to drive to the location. Olton walked through everything with me before heading out and hooking up the unit. I appreciate how friendly and accommodating he was and his responsiveness in communication.

Scott was a great host and very communicative, VERY responsive. My family used the camper for a short weekend trip near by. Towed the camper with our 18 GMC 1500 and it towed great. The oven worked great to cook cinnamon rolls, the Blackstone in the outside kitchen was great for smash burgers, tacos and breakfast. Very convenient to have a sink outside too! Perfect size for a family of 4 with small children. Would recommend finding a short list of "what to bring" for RV extras. Rugs for outside and in are a must with little children and a few extra towels to clean up around. Bring bedding, we did great with 3 sets of queen sheets and blankets. Bring a night light, most of the lighting in the trailer is quite bright. If you like it dark blackout curtains are a must for the, a great feature of the trailer is the amount of windows! (LOVED THE NATRUAL LIGHT). The only negative was the smell. We have a very sensitive nose when it comes cigarette smoke. We could tell at one time someone had smoked in the trailer. The smell dissipated once we opened some windows and ran the AC at 100%, it required air movement. Overall: Great trailer, fantastic floor plan, great host.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Campbell, TX

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Campbell, TX?

RV rental in Campbell, TX is one of the most affordable ways to explore Northeast Texas. On RVezy, travel trailers often start around $90 to $150 per night, Class C motorhomes typically run $175 to $275 per night, and Class B campervans land in a similar mid-range depending on age and features. To find a cheap RV rental in Campbell, filter by your dates, set a price ceiling, and look for listings with included generator hours or unlimited mileage. Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Campbell, TX?

Good news: for the vast majority of RV rentals in Campbell, TX, your regular driver's license is all you need. Texas only requires a non-commercial Class A or B license for personal RVs over 26,000 pounds gross vehicle weight rating, and almost every Class B campervan, Class C motorhome, and travel trailer on RVezy falls well below that threshold. To book on RVezy you generally need to be 25 or older and meet approved driver requirements, with your ID verified through the platform at checkout. Visiting from abroad? Bring your home country license plus an International Driving Permit and you're cleared to drive Texas highways like I-30 right through Hunt County.

What kind of protection comes with my Campbell RV rental?

Every RV rental in Campbell, TX booked through RVezy includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can hit I-30 with real peace of mind. Protection plans cover damage to the RV during your trip, and you choose your coverage level at checkout (not the host), so you can pick what fits your comfort and budget. Roadside assistance is included with every plan and covers things like flat tires, lockouts, and towing. Pro tip: review the plan details before you confirm, especially if you're planning a longer Texas RV trip toward Dallas or the East Texas piney woods, so you know exactly what's included.

What if I need to cancel my Campbell, TX RV rental?

Booking an RV rental in Campbell, TX through RVezy is low-risk because RVezy (not the individual host) sets the cancellation policy, and it includes a money-back grace period right after booking. If your plans shift soon after you reserve, you have a built-in window to cancel without losing your booking payment. Beyond that grace period, your refund amount depends on how close to your trip start date you cancel. If a host cancels on you, RVezy refunds you or provides travel credits so your trip plans stay protected. For full current details, review the RVezy Help Center cancellation policy before you confirm.

Can I bring my dog on a Campbell, TX RV trip?

Absolutely, pet-friendly RV rental Campbell options are plentiful on RVezy. Just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter when you search and you'll see listings from hosts who welcome four-legged co-pilots, sometimes with a small cleaning fee disclosed up front. Hunt County is a great spot for dogs: Stinson RV Park in Campbell has open green space and a stocked pond, and Cooper Lake State Park's Doctors Creek Unit allows leashed pets on most trails and at the swim beach (outside designated swim zones). Pro tip: message the host before booking to confirm size limits and bring a tie-out and extra water bowls, because Northeast Texas summers can push 95°F and shade matters.

Can the RV be delivered to my campground in Campbell?

Yes, RV delivery Campbell is one of the most popular options on RVezy, especially for first-timers who'd rather skip driving a big rig. Many Hunt County hosts will deliver and set up your motorhome rental Campbell directly at Stinson RV Park, Cooper Lake State Park, or even a private property within a 25 to 50 mile radius for a flat fee that scales with distance. They'll level the RV, connect water, sewer, and 30 or 50-amp power, and walk you through every system before they leave. Just use the Delivery filter when searching, then message the host with your campsite number and arrival window to lock in delivery details.

Most RVezy hosts include a daily mileage allowance (often 100 to 150 miles per day) with affordable per-mile rates beyond that, and some offer RV rental with unlimited mileage if you ask. From Campbell you can reach downtown Dallas in about 65 miles (roughly 75 minutes), Tyler and the East Texas piney woods in 60 miles, Caddo Lake State Park in about 130 miles, and Hot Springs, Arkansas in around 250 miles. You're spoiled for choice when it comes to RV camping Campbell. Stinson RV Park, right off I-30 in Campbell itself, offers 79 pull-through full-hookup sites with 30 and 50-amp service on 33 acres, open year-round. Cooper Lake State Park (Doctors Creek and South Sulphur units) is about 20 miles north and has shaded waterfront sites with hookups, a swim beach, and miles of trails. When is the best time to take an RV trip from Campbell, TX?

Northeast Texas has a long, generous RV season, and the sweet spots are spring (mid-March through May) and fall (late September through early November), when daytime highs sit in the comfortable 65 to 80°F range and evenings are crisp. Summer is doable but hot, with July and August highs averaging 92 to 94°F and heat index values that can push 110°F, so plan for full hookups and shade. Winters are mild, with average January highs near 53°F, meaning a Campbell RV trip in December or February is totally realistic with a furnace-equipped rig. Local insider tip: late October brings bass fishing on Cooper Lake at its peak and zero crowds.

I've never rented an RV before. Will I be able to handle it?

Yes, and you're in great company: most first time renting an RV happens with a Class C motorhome or travel trailer, both of which drive a lot more like a large truck than a bus. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on orientation at pickup, walking you through the generator, slide-outs, water systems, propane, and dump procedure, and you can text or call them throughout your trip with questions. Hunt County's wide, flat farm roads and the straight stretch of I-30 between Campbell and Greenville are forgiving places to get comfortable. Pro tip: ask your host for a short practice drive around their property before you head out, it builds confidence fast.
txdot.gov/safety.html

What happens if something goes wrong on the road?

You're covered. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of your protection plan, so a flat tire, dead battery, lockout, or tow situation is a single phone call away, no matter where you are between Campbell and your destination. Your host is also typically your first text message for anything quirky about their specific RV (think a finicky water pump or an unfamiliar awning button). I-30 through Hunt County has frequent service exits in Greenville and Sulphur Springs, and major repair shops are within 15 to 30 minutes of most local campgrounds. Pro tip: save the roadside assistance number in your phone before you pull out of the host's driveway.

What are the best RV road trip routes from Campbell, TX?

An RV road trip from Campbell opens up some of Texas's most scenic and underrated drives. Head east on I-30 about 130 miles to Caddo Lake State Park for cypress swamps and Spanish moss, or south on US-69 about 60 miles to Tyler State Park for towering pines and a spring-fed lake. Going west, Dallas and Fort Worth's urban attractions are 65 to 100 miles away. For a longer haul, Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas is roughly 250 miles northeast on I-30. Cross-border note: travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals due to insurance limitations, so keep your route within the U.S. when planning your Campbell adventure.

How should I budget for fuel on a Campbell RV trip?

Fuel is usually the biggest variable cost on any Texas RV trip, but Campbell is well-positioned to keep it manageable. Class B campervans average 18 to 22 mpg, Class C motorhomes typically run 8 to 12 mpg, and Class A motorhomes often land at 6 to 10 mpg. Texas gas prices tend to sit below the national average, with stations in Greenville (10 minutes west) and Sulphur Springs (20 minutes east) being your cheapest local fill-ups. Pro tip: use the GasBuddy or Upside app along I-30 and avoid the highway-adjacent stations right at the exits, which tend to charge a premium. Always top off in town before heading toward Cooper Lake.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Campbell?

For Stinson RV Park in Campbell, you can often grab a pull-through site with just a week or two of notice, even in summer. Cooper Lake State Park, however, is a different story: Texas State Parks open reservations exactly 5 months ahead of arrival through the official Texas Parks and Wildlife reservation system, and prime summer weekends and holidays sell out within hours. Private parks like East Texas RV Park near Greenville usually accept reservations 30 to 90 days out. Pro tip: set a calendar reminder for the 5-month mark if you want a waterfront site at Cooper Lake's Doctors Creek Unit, and have your dates locked in before the reservation window opens at 8 a.m. Central.

What are local driving conditions like around Campbell?

Driving conditions around Campbell are some of the most RV-friendly in Texas. I-30 is wide, flat, and well-maintained, with gentle curves and minimal grades between Dallas and the Arkansas border. Local FM (farm-to-market) roads through Hunt County are paved and quiet, perfect for getting comfortable with a bigger rig. The two things to watch: spring severe weather (April and May can bring thunderstorms, hail, and the occasional tornado, so check radar before driving) and gusty south winds on open stretches, which can push high-profile RVs. Pro tip: use the TxDOT DriveTexas site for live road conditions, especially after spring storms, and avoid driving during a tornado watch.

What amenities do campgrounds near Campbell offer?

You'll find genuinely full-service campgrounds throughout Hunt County. Stinson RV Park in Campbell offers 30 and 50-amp electric, water, sewer at every site, plus Wi-Fi and a stocked pond. Cooper Lake State Park has water and electric sites with a central dump station, potable water fills, hot showers, a swim beach, and boat ramps. East Texas RV Park near Greenville adds laundry, cable TV, and a dog run. Most parks have on-site dump stations included with your stay, and Stinson is open year-round so winter trips are easy. Pro tip: top off your freshwater tank before leaving the campground because rural fill stations between here and East Texas piney woods can be sparse.

What's actually inside the RVs available in Campbell, TX?

You'll find a wide range of well-equipped rigs for your RV rental in Campbell, TX. Most Class C motorhomes sleep 4 to 7 and come with a queen bed, full kitchen (fridge, stove, microwave, sink), a wet or dry bath with shower and toilet, roof air conditioning, furnace, and seatbelts for travel. Many include a flat-screen TV, Bluetooth stereo, outdoor speakers, awning, and a generator for boondocking. Travel trailers typically offer similar layouts without the cab. Wi-Fi varies, but Hunt County has solid Verizon and AT&T LTE coverage if you bring a hotspot. Pro tip: filter listings by sleeps count and bathroom type, and message the host to confirm whether bedding, kitchenware, and outdoor chairs are included.

What add-ons and extras can I get with my Campbell RV rental?

RVezy hosts in Campbell offer a generous menu of add-ons to tailor your trip. How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is straightforward and fully handled through the secure RVezy platform, so no cash or off-platform transfers are needed. When you book, you'll pay the rental cost, service fees, the protection plan level you choose, and any add-ons. A refundable security deposit is held separately from your booking payment (typically a few hundred to a couple thousand dollars depending on the RV's value) and is released back to your card after the trip if the RV is returned in the same condition. To avoid any deposit issues, take time-stamped photos of the RV inside and out at pickup and dropoff, follow the host's dump and refuel instructions, and keep mileage within your agreed allowance.
