Fall, from late September through November, offers comfortable days, cooler nights, fewer crowds, and strong fishing. Summer is peak season for swimming and boating but expect high humidity and temperatures often above 95°F, so book RV sites well in advance. How to get to Eisenhower State Park

The park sits off FM 1310 near Denison, Texas, roughly 75 miles north of Dallas, about a 90-minute drive via US-75. Sherman is about 15 miles south, and Durant, Oklahoma, is about 30 miles north across Lake Texoma. Park roads are paved and generally RV-friendly, but interior campground loops are narrow and wooded, so large Class A rigs and long fifth wheels should confirm site length when reserving. The nearest major airport for fly-and-rent trips is Dallas/Fort Worth International (DFW), about 80 miles south of the park.
