RV rental for Sherwood Forest Faire: Camp Beneath the Oaks and Wake Up in Robin Hood's Texas Kingdom
Hear the thunder of jousting hooves, the cry of a falcon, and the laughter of a whole village in costume. Sherwood Forest Faire turns the woods of McDade, Texas into a medieval realm every spring weekend. Roll in with an RV, claim a shady spot in the Faire campground, and stay for the feasts, fire shows, and fireside nights that day-trippers never get to see.
Great communication and great service. Great first RV experience

We had a great stay in John’s RV! Everything was just as described. The RV was spacious, easy to tow and fun for the kids! John was easy to communicate with, thorough in explaining all about the RV and helpful answering all of our questions. It was a pleasure to rent from John and we will definitely rent from him again!

We had a very good time! Gloria was responsive and helpful. The RV was very nice. We had some minor issues with the propane and they came out to our campsite to get it fixed. Highly recommend renting with them!

Sherwood Forest Faire Grounds, TX, US
Most RV travelers reach McDade on US Highway 290, which runs straight east from Austin toward Houston and passes right by the faire. Coming from Austin, drive about 35 miles east on US 290, then watch for Old Potato Road; overnight campers continue about one more mile east to the campground gate, which sits back from the highway between two large billboards. From Houston, head west on US 290 for roughly 120 miles and look for the Highway 21 overpass, since the campground entrance is about one mile west of it on the same side of the highway. Day visitors use the separate parking lot off Old Highway 20, reached by turning onto Old Potato Road and then right onto Old Highway 20. Rural GPS signals can send drivers miles off course, so rely on these highway landmarks, slow down as you approach, and remember that campground gates open at noon on Friday (Thursday on Spring Break weekends) with no queuing on the highway before then. Arrive early on opening, Spring Break, and closing weekends, because the RV and trailer spots in the general camping area fill fast.
