Arrowhead is located 10 minutes north of Huntsville, Ontario, approximately 225 kilometers (140 miles) north of Toronto, a drive of about 2.5 to 3 hours. Toronto Pearson International Airport is the nearest major airport at approximately 225 kilometers away. North Bay Airport (Jack Garland) is 111 kilometers away. The park has no major mountain passes or tunnels; roads are well-maintained summer routes, though winter conditions (December through March) can bring snow and ice. RV length is limited to 32 feet maximum (10 meters), with some sites at 25 feet; contact the park ahead if you have a larger rig.
Late June through August offers the warmest weather, with daytime highs around 24-25°C (75-77°F) and excellent conditions for beach and water activities. May and early June provide pleasant spring weather ideal for hiking and are less crowded. Winter months (December through February) attract visitors for cross-country skiing, ice skating on the park's famous forest skating trail, and snowshoeing, though shorter days and snow can impact road conditions. Seasonal camping is available May through Thanksgiving; year-round camping is limited to seven RV pull-through sites.

This easy 2.6-kilometer trail leads to a scenic waterfall on the Little East River cascading down a rock chute. Best visited in early spring when wildflowers and songbirds are abundant. Arrowhead's signature winter attraction is a 1.3-kilometer skating trail that winds through the forest, creating a unique winter experience. The trail is maintained seasonally and has become one of Ontario's longest outdoor skating rinks, weather permitting. Winter visitors can explore 28 kilometers of classic ski trails and 16 kilometers of skate ski trails ranging from beginner to expert.
