Fly-in visitors typically use Toronto Pearson International Airport, 225 kilometres south, followed by a 3-4 hour RV rental drive to the park. Late June through August is ideal for RV camping at Killbear, with warm weather, full park amenities, and water temperatures reaching 18-20°C perfect for swimming and boating. Winter camping operates January through March in the Beaver Dams campground area, attracting cross-country skiers and snowshoers. Note that mosquitoes and blackflies are prominent from late May through early July, and July-August can experience humidity and thunderstorms. Fall offers fewer crowds with cooler temperatures and changing foliage.
