July and August bring the busiest weekends, so midweek stays are easier for RV renters seeking a site. June and early September offer milder temperatures, thinner crowds, and still-reliable access to the water and golf course. Winters are cold and snowy in the Sanpete Valley, and park services are reduced outside the main season.

Palisade State Park, UT, United States

How to get to Palisade State Park

Palisade State Park is about 5 miles south of Manti and 130 miles (roughly 2.5 hours) south of Salt Lake City via US Highway 89, the main north-south route through central Utah. From Provo, it is about 100 miles south, and from the St. George and Zion area it is roughly a 4-hour drive north on I-15 and US 89. US 89 is a paved two-lane highway well suited to RV travel, with no major tunnels or severe grades, though the final access road into the park is narrow and winding, so drivers of longer rigs should take it slowly. The nearest major airport for fly-and-rent trips is Salt Lake City International Airport.
