Wabamun Lake Provincial Park is 60 kilometers west of Edmonton via Highway 16A (Yellowhead Highway), approximately 45-50 minutes by vehicle. From Calgary, the park is roughly 355 kilometers northeast. Highway 16A is a four-lane divided highway with no reported RV restrictions or mountain passes. Edmonton International Airport, located approximately 75 kilometers east, serves as the nearest major airport for fly-and-rent RV options.

The ideal months for RV camping are May, September, and October, when temperatures range from 10-20 degrees Celsius and crowds are lighter.
