Campgrounds and RV parks near Fredericton Junction, NB

Fredericton Junction is a small village in south-central New Brunswick, about 40 km south of Fredericton along Route 101. The area sits within the wooded Saint John River watershed, and most RV-friendly campgrounds cluster along the river corridor to the north, between Fredericton and the Mactaquac headpond. The closest options for RV renters include River Run Resort & Grill and Hartt Island RV Resort, both riverside private parks with full hookups. Heritage Country Camping and Woolastook Park sit slightly farther west along the Saint John River, offering wooded sites and family amenities. Mactaquac Provincial Park anchors the west end of the corridor as the largest campground in the region, with several hundred sites spread across a large riverside property. Fredericton itself serves as the practical resupply hub. From Fredericton Junction, RV renters can reach any of these campgrounds within roughly a 30-to-60-minute drive, making the village a workable base for exploring the provincial capital, the river valley, and southern New Brunswick.

Provincial and private campgrounds use separate reservation systems. For NB Parks properties including Mactaquac, reservations are handled through the parcsnbparks.ca portal or by phone. Seasonal campsite reservations typically open in mid-January, and nightly camping reservations open in early February at 9 a.m. AST for all New Brunswick Parks on the same day. A non-refundable reservation fee applies to each campsite reservation. Private parks such as River Run Resort & Grill, Hartt Island RV Resort, Woolastook Park, and Heritage Country Camping book directly through their own websites or by phone, and some list availability on third-party platforms. For summer weekends and long weekends, reserve well in advance. Waterfront and full-hookup sites at the popular parks often fill weeks or months ahead of a stay.
