Campgrounds and RV parks near Tracy, NB

Tracy is a village in Sunbury County, New Brunswick, on the North Oromocto River about 40 km south of Fredericton. That location puts travellers within an easy drive of the Saint John River valley campgrounds clustered west of the provincial capital, which is where most of the region's serviced RV sites are found. The closest options sit along or near the river between Tracy and Mactaquac. River Run Resort & Grill, Hartt Island RV Resort, Woolastook Park, and Heritage Country Camping are private parks catering to RV travellers with hookups and family amenities. Mactaquac Provincial Park is one of the New Brunswick provincial parks that offers seasonal campsites, and it sits along the Saint John River with camping, hiking trails, a golf course, and freshwater beaches, functioning as the anchor destination for the area. Visitors typically base out of one of these campgrounds and use Fredericton for groceries, fuel, and day trips. Sites range from full-service RV pads at the private resorts to power-and-water and unserviced options inside the provincial park.

Provincial park sites and private resorts use different systems. For Mactaquac Provincial Park, reservations run through the NB Parks online portal. Seasonal campsite reservations at parks including Mactaquac open in mid-January, and nightly camping reservations for all New Brunswick provincial parks open on a single launch date in February at 9 a.m. AST. A non-refundable reservation fee applies to each campsite reservation. Private parks like River Run Resort & Grill, Hartt Island RV Resort, Woolastook Park, and Heritage Country Camping take bookings directly through their own websites or by phone. Popular waterfront and full-hookup sites go first, so book eight to twelve weeks ahead for July and August weekends. Check rig length limits and hookup type when reserving, since older loops at some parks are tighter than newer pull-through sections.
