Campgrounds and RV parks near Durham-Sud, QC

Durham-Sud sits in the Centre-du-Québec region, between Drummondville and the northern edge of the Eastern Townships. It is a small farming community west of Richmond and south of Drummondville, which puts RV renters within an easy drive of both privately operated family campgrounds and a Sépaq-run provincial park. The closest options skew toward serviced, family-style sites. Camping La Detente, just outside Drummondville, runs as a large private campground with more than 350 sites and a full summer activity program. Camping de l'Ile and Camping Plage Mckenzie offer waterfront sites closer to local lakes and rivers. For renters willing to drive south into the Townships, the Lac Stukely sector of Mont Orford Provincial Park provides serviced and unserviced RV camping inside a Sépaq park. Camping Lac Des Cypres rounds out the list with a quieter lakeside setting. Most parks accept trailers and motorhomes, though service levels and pad sizes vary.

Booking systems split between private operators and Sépaq. Private campgrounds, including Camping La Detente, Camping de l'Ile, Camping Plage Mckenzie, and Camping Lac Des Cypres, take reservations directly by phone or through their own websites. Summer weekends and statutory holidays book up weeks ahead, so renters with a fixed RV pickup date should reserve as soon as travel dates are confirmed. For Lac Stukely - Mont Orford Provincial Park, campsites are reserved online through the Sépaq website. Reservations for the following summer open in mid-November, and demand for serviced sites and Huttopia tents is high in the first hours. A Sépaq account set up in advance speeds up the transaction. Parks Canada passes are not accepted at Mont-Orford. Park entrance fees are separate from the camping fee and can be purchased daily or annually, with daily admission available up to 30 days ahead.
