Campgrounds and RV parks near Gore, QC

Gore is a small township in the Laurentides region of Quebec, set in the Argenteuil RCM about an hour northwest of Montreal. The area is rural and lake-dotted, surrounded by forest at the southern edge of the Laurentian foothills. RV travellers use Gore as a quiet base between the busier resort towns to the north (Saint-Sauveur, Val-David, Mont-Tremblant) and the Ottawa River corridor to the south. Campground options nearby span both sides of the Ontario-Quebec border. Camping Trans-canadien sits along the Ottawa River corridor near Rigaud, with hookup sites and family amenities. Camping Choisy, also in the Rigaud area, is a long-running family campground in Vaudreuil-Soulanges. Camping D'Aoust offers another option in the same Vaudreuil-Soulanges corridor. Across the river, Voyageur Provincial Park is Ontario's most eastern provincial park and the largest serviced campground close to Gore. Farther north in the Laurentians, Camping Laurentien provides sites near the P'tit Train du Nord cycling path.

Voyageur Provincial Park is booked through the Ontario Parks reservation system at reservations.ontarioparks.ca, online or by phone. All Ontario provincial parks accept reservations up to five months in advance of arrival, and campsite reservations cannot be changed or cancelled more than four months in advance, so popular summer weekends move fast. If a date is full, cancellations open up regularly. Quebec-side campgrounds (Camping Laurentien, Camping Trans-canadien, Camping Choisy, Camping D'Aoust) are private operations and are booked directly through each campground's own website or phone line, or via the Camping Quebec network. Holiday weekends and full-hookup pull-throughs sell out earliest; book those several weeks ahead.
