Campgrounds and RV parks near Hampstead, QC

Hampstead is a small residential enclave on the Island of Montreal, so RV campgrounds sit outside the city in the surrounding suburbs and on the South Shore. The closest options cluster across the St. Lawrence River and along the Highway 15 and Highway 30 corridors, putting downtown Montreal within a 20 to 40 minute drive. Parc national des Îles-de-Boucherville is a protected island archipelago in the middle of the St. Lawrence River, just a few kilometres from downtown Montreal, with channels, marshes, and trails used by walkers, cyclists, and paddlers. The Molson RV sector inside that park, listed here as Molson RV - Iles-de-Boucherville Provincial Park, is the closest serviced RV area to the city. South of the river, Montreal South KOA Journey in Saint-Philippe is a larger, big-rig friendly base used by travellers visiting Montreal. Camping Le Domaine Du bel Age, Sogerive Halte VR RV Longueuil, and Camping Au Plateau 5 etoiles round out the nearby options for shorter stops, transit overnights, and longer family stays.

Camping at Parc national des Îles-de-Boucherville, including the Molson Espace VR sector, is booked online through Sépaq, the Quebec provincial parks agency. A daily park access right or annual network card is required in addition to the camping fee. Sépaq opens its summer camping reservations several months in advance, and popular weekends fill quickly once the calendar opens. Montreal South KOA Journey is reserved through the KOA website or its central reservation line, with sites booking well ahead of Formula 1 weekend and other major Montreal events. Private parks such as Sogerive Halte VR RV Longueuil, Camping Le Domaine Du bel Age, and Camping Au Plateau 5 etoiles take direct bookings by phone or through their own websites. For July and August stays, reserving six to eight weeks ahead is recommended.
