Campgrounds and RV parks near Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci, QC

Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci sits in the Lanaudière region of Quebec, on the southern edge of the Laurentian highlands and within easy reach of Parc national du Mont-Tremblant, Quebec's oldest provincial park and the largest in the SEPAQ network at 1,510 square kilometres. The park is managed by SEPAQ, the provincial outdoor agency that also runs reservations. RV travellers basing themselves here have access to several SEPAQ frontcountry campgrounds inside the park, including Baie des Maries - Mont Tremblant Provincial Park, Lac Girondin - Mont Tremblant Provincial Park and Lac Lajoie - Mont Tremblant Provincial Park, all in the Pimbina-Saint-Donat sector reached via Route 125 through Saint-Donat. Privately operated options closer to the village include Camping Fort Apache and Camping Laurentien, which typically offer more serviced sites for trailers and motorhomes. The mix gives families a choice between rustic park camping and full-hookup commercial parks within a short drive.

SEPAQ campsites inside Parc national du Mont-Tremblant, including Baie des Maries, Lac Girondin and Lac Lajoie, are booked through the SEPAQ reservation system at sepaq.com or by phone at 1-800-665-6527. Summer camping reservations open the previous November in staggered time slots by park, with Mont-Tremblant typically among the first to open. A virtual waiting room assigns a random queue position at each opening, then first-come, first-served applies. Creating a SEPAQ customer account in advance speeds up checkout. Popular waterfront and serviced sites for July and August are often claimed within hours of opening, so booking on the release date is recommended. Cancellations free up sites throughout the spring, so checking back is worthwhile. Private campgrounds such as Camping Fort Apache and Camping Laurentien handle their own reservations directly through the operators.
