Campgrounds and RV parks near Notre-Dame-des-Prairies, QC

Notre-Dame-des-Prairies is a small city in the Lanaudière region of Quebec, a suburb of Joliette set along the eastern shore of the L'Assomption River. The town sits in the Saint-Lawrence Lowlands roughly 50 kilometres northeast of Montreal, which puts RV travellers within easy reach of both the river valley and the wooded Laurentian foothills to the north. The local campground network is dominated by private, family-run sites rather than provincial parks. Camping Bernard, Camping Sainte-Emilie, Camping Aux Bouleaux Argentes, Camping Sol Air, and Camping Parc Ensoleille 2002 Inc all sit within a short drive of town and cater to RV travellers with serviced sites, pools, and seasonal programming. For larger wilderness destinations, Parc national du Mont-Tremblant lies to the north and is operated by Sépaq, the Quebec parks agency, with sectors offering rustic, two-service, and three-service sites. Together, these options cover everything from full-hookup weekenders to backcountry stays.

Private campgrounds around Notre-Dame-des-Prairies take reservations directly by phone or through their own websites, and seasonal sites are often locked in months ahead. For peak weekends in July and August, eight to twelve weeks of lead time is realistic at Camping Bernard, Camping Sainte-Emilie, Camping Aux Bouleaux Argentes, Camping Sol Air, and Camping Parc Ensoleille 2002 Inc. Sépaq parks, including Parc national du Mont-Tremblant, are booked through the central Sépaq reservation system at sepaq.com. The summer reservation launch happens in stages each fall, with Mont-Tremblant typically opening first; a virtual waiting room assigns a random priority order, so creating a Sépaq client account in advance is recommended. National park entry fees are charged separately from the campsite fee.
