Campgrounds and RV parks near Pierreville, QC

Pierreville sits on the south shore of Lac Saint-Pierre in Quebec's Centre-du-Québec region, between Sorel-Tracy and Trois-Rivières along the St. Lawrence River. The area falls within the Lac Saint-Pierre UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, a fluvial expansion of the St. Lawrence formed as the Champlain Sea retreated at the end of the last ice age. The reserve includes North America's largest heronry and is one of the continent's key stopovers for migratory birds. RV travelers use Pierreville as a quiet rural base with access to riverfront beaches, marshes, and the historic Chemin du Roy. Most campgrounds in the area are private, family-run operations affiliated with Camping Québec rather than provincial or federal parks. Closest options include Camping Port St Francois near Nicolet on the St. Lawrence, Camping au Soleil Levant, Camping du Vieux Moulin Inc, Camping Lac St-Michel, and Camping Domaine Des Erables. Site mixes lean toward seasonal trailers with a smaller share kept open for traveling RVs, so advance booking matters during peak weeks.

Campgrounds around Pierreville are privately operated, so each property handles its own reservations directly by phone, email, or its own website. There is no central provincial booking portal like SÉPAQ for this area, since the nearby parks are not part of the provincial park system. Camping Québec lists member sites including Camping Port St Francois and publishes opening and closing dates each season. For summer weekends, holiday long weekends, and the Quebec construction holiday in late July, book several weeks in advance. Shoulder-season midweek stays in May, June, and September are usually easier to secure on shorter notice. Confirm whether the site is a traveler pitch or a seasonal site before booking, since a large share of inventory at lakefront properties is held by seasonal renters.
